The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Apex Centre in Las Vegas for another eventful night of mixed martial arts.

Let's waste no time because the fight odds are now available for us to delve into some parlay betting picks for UFC in Vegas 39 - headlined by two of the hottest UFC strawweight contenders Mackenzie Dern and Marina Rodriguez, competing live on ESPN this weekend.

Randy Brown vs. Jared Gordan

UFC Welterweight Co-Main Event Bout

Saturday, October 09, 2021 - 09:05 PM EDT at Apex Centre

The Fighters

The UFC's welterweight division will assist in closing out this weekend's main card when Randy Brown and Jared Gooden throw down inside the octagon for UFC in Vegas' co-main event.

"Rude Boy" Randy Brown (13-4-0) owns a skill set that is often underrated, but behind his 13-4 record is a masterful set of MMA tools that are so well-rounded I'm genuinely surprised he isn't a Top-10 ranked fighter.

Jared Gordon (18-6-0) is relatively new to the promotion, and a two-fight losing skid wasn't the most impressive introduction to the UFC. However, a fight-ending amount of power laid his previous opponent out cold to return to the win column.

The Pick

The drop-down in competition isn't doing any favors for Randy Brown, especially when the opposition poses a knockout threat as potent as Jared Gooden does.

However, it's hard to deny that Brown will enter this contest as the more refined and well-versed mixed martial artist. I'd be shocked to witness Gooden enter this fight as the more technically sound fighter, as I believe that it's Brown's fight to lose.

The available UFC odds with Sportsbook Review are naturally favoring and juicing towards Brown's more experienced and well-rounded martial artist.

I expect a grappling gameplan to stem from Randy Brown's corner to nullify Gooden's offense, resulting in a tired opponent who becomes open for the finish.

Phil Hawes vs. Deron Winn

UFC Middleweight Bout

Saturday, October 09, 2021 - 10:05 PM EDT at Apex Centre

The Fighters

Phil Hawes (11-2-0) has kept an unblemished record since joining the UFC; following an impressive knockout win on Dana Whites Contender Series; he's joined the promotion and produced a 3-0-win streak.

Deron Winn (7-2-0) hasn't owned the same fortune. A 2-2 UFC record handed the American Kickboxing Academy student his first professional career losses. The elite rosters of the UFC have been a wake-up call, and now he's faced with another highly touted prospect.

UFC Fight Prediction

Former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier works closely with the former freestyle wrestling champion that is Deron Winn.

And a huge red flag should be waving when the man himself admitted his student should be fighting in the welterweight division.

A height of 5' 6" isn't ideal when a significant amount of fighters are stood at 6'0 ft and above in the 185lb division. Besides the apparent size discrepancy, Phil Hawes owns a background in wrestling that can delete his opponent's most significant MMA offense.

The Pick

I anticipate Winn will continue struggling in this division; consistently finding methods to adapt against a reach disadvantage doesn't allow martial artists to fight at their natural progression.

Since his arrival to the UFC, Phil Hawes has been impressive, and it's difficult not to give him the nod this weekend and hence the best UFC pick here.
