The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Apex Centre in Las Vegas for another eventful night of mixed martial arts. Let’s waste no time because the fight odds are now available on top sportsbooks for us to delve into some parlay betting picks for UFC in Vegas 31 – headlined by lightweight contenders Islam Makhachev and Thiago Moises competing live on ESPN.

Dustin Stoltzfus vs. Rodolfo Viera

Saturday, July 17, 2021 – 11:35 PM EDT at Apex Centre

The Fighters

There is no doubting that Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Rodolfo Viera is one of the UFC's most elite level grapplers, and it's rare. Still, a vicious wrestling offence nicely accompanies his BJJ skillset. The problem we're presented with was exposed during Viera's previous outing, where Anthony Hernandez was able to out-cardio his opponent and, in reality – defeated Viera via conditioning.

Dustin Stoltzfus will have his work cut out for him during the early rounds, but can he match the cardio war of Hernandez and defeat Viera by simply surviving the early onslaught?

UFC Parlay Pick

I struggle to put faith in Viera after his previous performance, and given the available odds, picking a side is undoubtedly a pass. However, I anticipate one of two outcomes – either Viera locks up one of his notorious submissions, or Stoltzfus finishes Viera towards the later rounds.

The available UFC odds with Sportsbook Review for this aren't great, but I believe the chances of this fight ending inside the distance are high.

Daniel Rodriguez vs. Preston Parsons

Saturday, July 17, 2021 - 09:35 PM EDT at Apex Centre

The Fight

Preston Parson's is set to make a short-notice UFC debut versus one of the welterweight divisions most technically sound strikers; the pressure will be on for the Florida native, but with all nine professional wins via submission, we already know the gameplan he'll be opting for.

"D-Rod" Daniel Rodriguez has proven his worth since joining the UFC, and his current 14-2 professional record would be standing at 16-0 if incompetent judges didn't decide his two losses.

UFC Fight Prediction

Rodriguez owns some of the best boxing fundamentals and, honestly, is one of the most underrated guys in the division. His striking setups are elite, and you won't find D-Roz throwing random shots as he likes to set up his strikes with assistance from great distance awareness and the ability to read his opponents well.

The takedown threat will be present for D-Rod but facing a UFC debutant who's never fought longer than eight minutes during his professional career should favour the more experienced, well versed martial artist in Rodriguez.

UFC Parlay Prediction: Daniel Rodriguez (-335) with BetOnline.
