Lifelong martial artist Jim Crute made waves on the regional MMA scene, then continued his explosive run with a round one knockout win on 'Dana White's Contender Series'. Aged just twenty-four, do not let the small record fool you – Crute stems from a family of boxers and has been competing in Judo, Karate, and BJJ since a child. He has a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and became a professional MMA competitor aged just nineteen.

A strong ground-game with heavy hands is all that a light heavyweight coach can ask for, but the fellas at Resilience Training Centre have faith their young prospect is a future UFC champion.

Another young prospect looking to make a statement, Modestas Bukauskas will make his second appearance in a UFC octagon following a fast first-round knockout during the first Fight Island visit in July.

Bukauskas made his name through the Cage Warriors promotion, becoming their Light Heavyweight champion in 2018. The twenty-six-year-old suffered two back to back losses in 2016, but since then he has ran through seven opponents, all via knockout or submission.

At the End of the Day

I strongly disagree with the betting odds, even if Crute is the more decorated martial artist there is no reason for such a broad betting line. Maybe the UFC experience of Crute is helping shift the available odds, or perhaps nobody has studied Bukauskas. And, Crute's opponent this weekend isn't going to roll over and allow Crute to dominate.

For starters, Crute will be the smaller man and the grappling threat he does pose is not something new for Bukauskas. His previous four bouts have seen all his opponents take him or down or at least attempt to, wanting to avoid his unorthodox striking offense.

With the knockout threat very present for any twenty-something's who are competing in the UFC, I cannot ignore the underdog money on Bukauskas, given his similar experience, and who is equally dangerous. Be sure to shop for your odds with Sportsbook Review because some books have Bukauskas as low as +250.

The future legend and now making her women's flyweight debut, Jessica Andrade makes her long-awaited return following two back to back losses.

Commonly known for her devastating slam-KO against Rose Namajunas, Andrade is small in height but makes up for it with brute force. Holding seven knockouts and seven submission wins, she will now test her power in the 125lb weight class.

Kaitlyn Chookagian

Age: 31
Nationality: USA

Chookagian has ground her way through enough UFC flyweights that she is now ranked #1 in the world, and the problem is she's already fought the champion Valentina Shevchenko and lost. A challenging position to be in, but the long and rangy point fighter continues to prove doubters wrong.

The Fight Prediction

Jessica Andrade is no fool, and she knows that an impressive win against the number-one ranked flyweight is going to put her next in line for a championship opportunity. And I believe she has the talent to do it.

Chookagian has sailed through some easy competition, let's be honest, and Andrade offers too much aggression for her to shadow box her way to a decision win.

I believe Andrade holds the advantage in all areas. Apart from the apparent size disadvantage, I anticipate Andrade breaking her losing streak by winning all three rounds. Remember to find the best odds using SBR ODDS, finding value in the best sportsbooks will dramatically affect your long-term betting investment.
