‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera

UFC Bantamweight Bout
Saturday, 15th August live from the Apex Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada

All Odds for this Matchup

Marlon Vera

Dangerous Ecuadorian martial artist ‘Chito’ Vera will be looking to hand the overly-hyped prospect in O’Malley his first career loss this weekend in Vegas. And if we’re honest, has the best chance of causing this upset in comparison to O’Malley’s prior opponents.

As the proud owner of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Vera is just as known for his durability and lethal muay thai style of striking. Nasty legs and some tremendous striking combinations have made Vera a dangerous opponent for any top-fifteen fighters, including O’Malley.

Sean O’Malley

The largest, youngest, most hyped prospect in the bantamweight division ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley makes his third walk to the octagon in 2020 at UFC 252.

Entertaining inside and outside of the octagon, O’Malley is vastly becoming a massive star in the UFC. But don’t let the colored hair and sometimes goofy attitude fool you when the cage door closes a near 6 foot, twenty-five-year-old bantamweight has the tools to end it all.

The available UFC odds with Sportsbook Review are quite mixed on this matchup so be sure to shop for the best line in our UFC odds section of the website.

At The End of the Day

O’Malley has the size discrepancy in his favor that will keep any grappling attempts from Chito at bay. Combine this with the small octagon; O’Malley’s cutting off angles and lethal striking combinations make this a tremendous stylistic matchup for the prospect.

Vera will undoubtedly be the toughest test for O’Malley to date, but it’s hard to ignore the fast-growing skillset that has been stopping anyone in his tracks.

Herbert Burns vs. Daniel Pineda

UFC Featherweight Bout
Saturday, 15th August live from the Apex Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada

All Odds for this Matchup

Daniel Pineda

Daniel Pineda will make his long-awaited return to the UFC octagon, after a stint in the company back in 2013/2014. With experience at other high-level promotions such as Bellator and PFL and a winning record that has never reached the judge’s scorecard, we can expect some veteran tactics from Pineda.

Herbert Burns

The Burns brothers have been cashing names and taking cheques of recent, and I don’t expect the fun to stop here.

If you’re familiar with welterweight title contender Gilbert Burns, then you should know what to expect from his brother Herbert – A high level Jiu-Jitsu game and a well-versed stand-up arsenal.

At The End of the Day

Do you want to step in front of a Burns brother on your return to the UFC? This is what Daniel Pineda is faced with this weekend.

We should note, Pineda’s previous two wins were overturned for the use of illegal substances. If Pineda has found success through juicing, it’s going to be an extra-long night for the returning featherweight.

I predict another impressive outing from Herbert, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we witnessed a quick finish to the fight – may be round one submission.
