The second round of matches in the group stage kicks off on Friday. USA will play England in the star match of the day, while the Netherlands could seal an early spot in the Round of 16 with a win over Ecuador while hosts Qatar meet Senegal in Group A. The day started with Iran's upset win over Wales.

Harry Kane will play, so that’s more bad news for Team USA. The England captain went through an injury scare but will finally be able to start his side’s second World Cup match.

If England keep the attitude from the Iran match, they can easily aim for at least a two-goal difference against the U.S.

USA showed its two faces against Wales. In the first half, they were creative and electric, troubling Bale and his colleagues with smart moves and killer passing, also scoring a goal through Tim Weah.

After halftime, Gregg Berhalter’s men couldn’t keep the same rhythm and were finally equalized with eight minutes left in normal time, following a penalty converted by Bale.

Judging by what they showed in the friendlies leading to the World Cup and the match against Wales, USA will find it hard to contain a superior English side. If they don’t close well at the back, USA could well end up letting a few goals past them.

Upset: Ecuador tie or win (+110)★★★

Ecuador showed strength in the South American qualifiers and have left the impression of a strong unit against Qatar, at their first World Cup appearance this year. They won the match 2-0 after two goals in the first half from experienced forward Enner Valencia proved insurmountable for the hosts.

The Netherlands also won their inaugural clash at the World Cup, beating Senegal 2-0. Despite being in control, the Dutch showed weaknesses that Ecuador could speculate on.

Except for Spain, England, and France, none of the European teams impressed at the World Cup so far. Ecuador should feel entitled to apply pressure against the Netherlands, so a draw wouldn’t feel like a major surprise given the context and the styles of the two teams. FanDuel has Ecuador winning at +420, if you fancy going for the big pot.

Prop: Pulisic to have 1 or more shots on target (+110) ★★★★

For Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, this is a crucial game. If he stars in the USA shirt against England, his club status and even his entire career could get a big push forward. Only used in the starting 11 at Chelsea three times this season, Pulisic is USA’s leader. He will get extra motivation in facing some of his colleagues and regular Premier League opponents.

Pulisic to have at least one shot on target is at +110 via DraftKings. Think he could squeeze it in? Pulisic scoring anytime during the match is at +400.

Senegal kept it tight against the Netherlands until the final minutes of their opening match in Qatar but ended up losing the match 2-0. They’ll need to turn to unleashed mode against the tournament’s hosts if they are to stand any chance of qualification into the Round of 16.

Qatar looked shaky in front of Ecuador, so the match against Senegal, a team of comparable value, is likely to bring them similar defensive problems. A parlay on eight or more corners in the game and four or more shots from Senegal returns +147 via FanDuel. If you combine it with a Senegal win, it’s worth +262.
