Sassuolo vs. Torino
Friday, September 17, 2021 – 02:45 PM EDT at Città del Tricolore
Serie A, still a very underrated top European league is back with a Friday bang, the round opener, Sassuolo vs. Torino. Last season, Sassuolo were very unlucky not to qualify in the European competitions. They finished 8th, equal on points with AS Roma. If points are tied at the end of the competition, head-to-head matches were the tiebreaker and despite not losing against Roma in both games, the away goals mattered.
Sassuolo will be looking to bounce back from the loss in the capital after offering one of the most entertaining games of the season. The host lost Manuel Locatelli and Francesco Caputo but the 21-year-old Giacomo Raspadori and 22-year-old Gianluca Scamacca are simply amazing. They are the future of the team, and they will very soon they will start scoring in every game.
On the other side, as expected and predicted last week, Torino easily won their clash with the newly-promoted side, Salernitana. They will still be without their talisman and top scorer Andrea Belotti, who’s struggling with an injury but the team under Ivan Juric looks better and better and the new players signed in the summer transfer window are adapting fast.
This clash is synonym for goals. We’ve seen both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals in their last 5 mutual encounters and once again we expect the same outcome.

Dortmund vs. Union Berlin
Sunday, September 19, 2021 - 11:30 AM EDT at Signal Iduna Park
The goal machine, Dortmund against one of the most organized teams in Germany, Union Berlin. The hosts enter this game on the back of a 2-1 important Champions League win in Turkey against Besiktas. Of course, Erling Haaland scored again, adding 1 more goal to his season tally (14 goals in 10 games across competitions).
On the other side, Union Berlin, despite dominating and creating many scoring chances, were held to a 1-1 draw by Augsburg. They are unbeaten this season and they will try to take advantage of Dortmund’s defensive struggles and injury issues. Also, the fact that Dortmund played Besiktas on Wednesday will affect the fitness of the team. On top of that, Dortmund conceded in every single Bundesliga match this season but also in the Super Cup and Champions League games.
Union Berlin produce much better results on their turf so they will probably lose this encounter, but they have the necessary weapons to contribute on the scoreboard so for our 2nd pick of this parlay we’re going with the ‘both teams to score’ option. They are also playing in Conference League on Thursday on the road against Slavia Prague but they should have enough to find the back of the net against Dortmund.
