There could be somewhat of a festive atmosphere when the United States hosts Paraguay in Saturday’s international friendly. Although there’s nothing on the line, I’m expecting both teams to score at Subaru Park.

Paraguay is still on a high after qualifying for the World Cup in September for the first time since 2010. Meanwhile, the United States continues its preparations for co-hosting the 2026 World Cup after beating Australia during the last international break.

🤕 USMNT to hold its own despite injury crisis 

USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be without several regulars, including star Christian Pulisic, so don’t expect an attacking masterclass.

The United States has scored in nine of its last 10 games, but the team likely won’t celebrate more than once on Saturday. Paraguay sported one of the best defensive records in CONMEBOL qualifying after conceding just 10 goals in 18 matches.
