The Serie A title race is heating up after champion Inter Milan beat league leader Napoli last weekend. We have picks on the biggest games taking place in the days ahead in Seria A's Matchday 14.

Inter is now just four points behind league leader Napoli following its impressive 3-2 win against the Gli Azzurri last weekend. AC Milan remains level with Napoli, albeit with a slightly inferior goal difference, despite losing 4-3 to Fiorentina. All three teams are in action this weekend.

Serie A Matchday 14 Predictions

Sampdoria vs. Verona – Both teams to Score & Over 2.5 (+108) 

Verona has been one of the most entertaining teams in Serie A this season. Both teams to score has paid off in 11 of their 13 games thus far.

Their leaky defense has kept only one clean sheet, but they have found the back of the net in 12 out of 13 games.

That is largely thanks to the form of striker Giovanni Simeone – son of Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone – who has banged in nine goals in his last eight games.

Sampdoria is not quite as gung-ho. However, they have scored nine goals and conceded 16 in their seven home matches so far this season. Only Empoli has conceded more goals at home.

Juventus vs. Atalanta – Both to score & Over 2.5 (-125) 

Verona may be trying to seize Atalanta’s mantle, but Gian Piero Gasperini’s men remain the great entertainers of Serie A.

They have scored more goals than any other team in the league over the last three seasons, but their woeful defensive record saw them finish third in each of those campaigns.

Atalanta made a slightly sluggish start to the current season, but they are now back to their chaotic best, with Duván Zapata, Josip Ili?i?, and Luis Muriel firing in the goals and the defense conceding regularly.

Both teams to score has landed in each of Atalanta’s last 10 games. Nine of them went Over 2.5 goals, and they are coming off a 5-2 win against Spezia and a 3-3 draw with Young Boys.

Juventus has improved in league play in recent weeks, but they lost 4-0 to Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday, and Atalanta should punish their defensive frailties.

Venezia vs. Inter -1.25 (-110) 

Inter has been very impressive in recent weeks. They are now just four points behind Napoli after beating Luciano Spalletti’s team 3-2 last weekend.

The Nerazzurri followed it up with a routine 2-0 Champions League victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, extending their unbeaten run to eight games across all competitions.

Inter should have too much quality for Venezia in this game.

The newly-promoted team has a reasonably strong home record this season, but Inter have scored more goals than any other side in the division – including Atalanta – and they should prevail.
