It's quite unusual for Premier League matchday with no big fixtures, no mixing up between any of the big seven, and not even any derby (yes, I know there is Arsenal-Crystal Palace, but that's really digging deep for it).

What this does mean is that the big ones can go smoothly ahead, except though for Manchester United who has to play at Leicester. Let's go over the Premier League odds for Matchday 8

Leicester City FC vs. Manchester United

Saturday 16th October 2021 - 10:00 AM EDT at King Stadium

Leicester away is exactly that kind of appointment that could put in danger this Manchester United. The foxes are big enough to beat them, but not big enough to scare them and make them sound the alarms. After a decent start though, Leicester struggled to cope with their European duties, and have been dropping points consistently since September.

Nonetheless, the international break could have helped Leicester as most of the team stayed together, as they are much less affected by the national squad games than the proper big teams. The pressure though is totally on Manchester United, and couldn't be any different: had the favorable option of two home games before the break, against Aston Villa and Everton, and not only didn't win either but they actually lost to the Villans.

A mad streak is now waiting for them: Atalanta, Liverpool, Tottenham, Atalanta away and back home to play Manchester City. It's where they could shine or watch their season fade away. Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he's still a lethal striker.

Problem is, he can't fix the issues of a team that is not performing well. Even him, as usual, has given up on greater mobility on the pitch for more lethality in front of goal. United have not been able to win a game with more than a goal advantage, and have struggled to own a game lately.

They will miss Maguire, and their defense could be much more affected as they are also missing Fofana. As for Varane, he won't be available, which makes things much worse. McTominay will struggle a lot to keep the balance of the team, which will be also on the shoulders of Pogba, but it's a duty he can handle better when the team plays tighter, as France does.

Aston Villa FC vs Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

Saturday, October 16, 2021 - 10:00 AM EDT at Villa Park

Separated by only one point in the middle of the table, but Villans performances have been way different compared to Wolves.

Lately, their schedule has been much more difficult, and still, they have been able to put up a fight against anybody, managing even to knock down Old Trafford.

At Villa Park, they have been able to stay undefeated in spite of hosting Chelsea already, while Wolves on the road won the last two against Southampton and Watford, but when the game gets tough on the road, they just can't cope with it. In fact, in all of 2021, they have won away only twice: at Fulham and at Southampton. Great odds on Aston Villa for this match.

Norwich vs Brighton

Saturday, October 16, 2021 - 10:00 AM EDT at Carrow Road

It was hard for Brighton to improve their last couple of seasons, but this start is going further than before. Maybe it won't last long, certainly could be the pick of all, but this 6th place is fully deserved. Norwich is in trouble as expected, maybe, even more, considering they are bottom of the table but especially with only one point earned after seven games.

Considering all, the odds on Brighton are absolutely unmissable so grab them while you can for your Premier League pick.
