Burnley vs. Chelsea
Saturday, October 31, 2020 – 11:00 AM EDT at Turf Moor
Everyone expected Chelsea to destroy their opponents this season after signing so many great players in the summer transfer window. It has been a mediocre start thus far but it’s normal as their new players need time to adapt because most of them are coming from different leagues. Chelsea are expected to be much higher and they will be, they just need 1 more month.
They finally broke a run of draws with a 4-0 impressive win on the road over FC Krasnodar in the Champions League. They don’t have important injury concerns at the moment, apart from Kepa Arrizabalaga, but probably that’s great news for Chelsea’s fans.
On the other side, Burnley are in terrible form this season. They earned just 1 point in 5 games scoring just 3 goals in the process. They’ve won just one of their last 12 Premier League head-to-heads against Chelsea losing 8 in the process, but they definitely won’t make it easy for the Blues.
The pressure is on Lampard and Co, but their new keeper Edouard Mendy kept 4 clean sheets in his last 4 games for Chelsea and that’s a huge improvement. Chelsea are very creative from the middle and up and they have a deadly attack with the 2 German players Timo Werner and Kai Havertz expected to lead the line for the visitors.
Not a walk in the park for the Blues but the difference in quality should be the key to this clash.
Aston Villa vs. Southampton
Sunday, November 01, 2020 - 07:00 AM EST at Villa Park
Nobody expected Aston Villa to sit 3rd in the standings after 7 rounds. Not only that but they are just 1 point behind leaders Everton and Liverpool, but they have a game in hand on them. They won their 1st 4 games of the season destroying the reigning champs 7-2 and beating Leicester in the process. They will now try to bounce back after losing their last weekend game against Leeds.
On the other side, Southampton, who started the season with back-to-back defeats, handed Everton their 1st defeat of the season last weekend. Danny Ings is Southampton’s trendsetter. He is scoring goals, he is setting them up, he’s basically in top form. He offered both assists last weekend in the 2-0 superb win over Everton and we expect them to lead the team to another success.
This clash is expected to be an entertaining one to watch and there will be goals in this game. The Saints look determined to extend their unbeaten streak while Villa with Jack Grealish and Ross Barkley are eager to return to winning ways. Southampton have the upper hand and enter this game with more confidence, so if you want to make a single wager on this one you should look for Southampton with Draw No Bet or PK (same thing), priced at +101 with Bookmaker as we don’t expect them to lose this one.
