Twenty-five MLS teams have gathered in Orlando to vie for glory in the MLS is Back Tournament, and we have a parlay for you to consider.

Seattle Sounders vs. San Jose Earthquakes

Friday, July 10, 2020 – 09:00 PM EDT

Opening Line: Seattle Sounders -109 at 5Dimes

Seattle is one of the strongest MLS teams and it should ease past San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. Nicolas Lodeiro and Jordan Morris were on fire in the Sounders’ midfield last year and they led their team to glory in the MLS Cup. Lodeiro has now recovered from injury, and he will lead the charge as Seattle bids for victory in the MLS is Back Tournament. Raul Ruidiaz is a dangerous striker, and he can cause all sorts of problems for the Earthquakes’ defense on Saturday. San Jose looked dreadful at the start of the MLS season. It drew 2-2 in its opener against Toronto FC, and then conceded five times in an embarrassing defeat to Minnesota. This is a game that Seattle really should win.

Atlanta United vs. New York Red Bulls

Saturday, July 11, 2020 – 08:00 PM EDT

Opening Line: Atlanta United -119 at Heritage

This looks like an interesting match-up between two talented teams. Atlanta United won the MLS Cup in 2018 and fell just short in the conference finals last year, despite losing star man Miguel Almiron. Josef Martinez, the league’s best forward, is now injured and that leaves Atlanta lacking firepower. The Red Bulls play a hard pressing game, which could be difficult in the Orlando heat. However, they have a young squad and they can make five substitutions, which could help the team grow strong in the second half. This is a major test for Atlanta, and it will approach the tournament with plenty of confidence if it can secure victory on Sunday.

FC Cincinnati vs. Columbus Crew

Saturday, July 11, 2020 – 10:30 PM EDT

Opening Line: Columbus Crew -115 at Bookmaker

Cincinnati manager Jaap Stam has confirmed that star striker Jurgen Locadia is injured and that he will miss this game. That represents a major blow for Stam, whose team endured a disappointing campaign last year. The former Man Utd defender has been tasked with steadying the ship, and he has the likes of Siem de Jong and Frankie Amaya at his disposal, but Cincinnati steal looks weak in defense. Columbus Crew is an exciting, attacking team, with talented wingers and a dangerous predator in Gyasi Zardes. Lucas Zewlarayan is a decent playmaker, and Columbus should have enough firepower to overwhelm a poor Cincinnati side in this game.

Toronto FC vs. DC United

Sunday, July 12, 2020 – 09:00 AM EDT

Opening Line: Toronto FC -119 at Bookmaker

Toronto FC has a great chance of winning the MLS is Back Tournament. It lost to Seattle in the MLS Cup final last year, but it has kept hold of star players like Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and Alejandro Pozuelo, and brought in quality players such as Pablo Piatti. It is certainly one of the favorites for glory, along with LA FC, Seattle and Atlanta. Wayne Rooney carried DC United for much of the 2019 season, and it could struggle without his leadership. Striker Paul Ariola is also out with an injury, which could leave the team a little toothless in attack, although Edison Flores is a talented player. Yet Toronto should feel confident in its chances of picking up an important victory in this game. It beat DC United 5-1 in last year’s playoffs, which could give it a psychological advantage.

  • Soccer Pick: Toronto to win at -125
