European Weekend Soccer Parlay: Picks and Predictions

The international football is finally over and we can get back to our nearest and dearest club football to bet on at SBR's best sportsbooks. It’s always wise to play it safe after the International breaks as big odds outsiders tend to cash a lot more than normal weeks.

This week we have made one selection each across the top four leagues in European club football.

Southampton FC vs. Leeds United

Saturday, October 16, 2021 - 10:00 AM EDT at St. Mary's Stadium

Although it's early in the season it's a relegation scrap here between Leeds United and Hampton as both teams linger towards the bottom of the Premier League table. Leeds sits on six points while Southampton sits on four points, although this is expected to be a cagey game, we believe we might see both teams on the score sheet here today as a draw would not suit either team in the long run.

Leeds United have seen btts in five of their seven Premier League games this season and although Southampton has rarely failed to score at home, doing so just once in their draw with Man United earlier in the season, we are confident that bought teams can find the back of the net here at Premier League odds of -200.

Interestingly the previous four games played at Saint Mary's stadium between these two teams have not seen both teams scoring, hopefully, this Saturday will be the exception.

Bayern Leverkusen vs. Bayern Munich

It's a battle between first and second place this weekend in the German Bundesliga as Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen sit on 16 points on the top of the league table. This is expected to be a cracker of a game and goals galore could be on the cards.

Although we liked the over 3.5 goals here, we're playing it safe for our parlay and taking the over 2.5 goals. Between the two teams they have played 14 games and 11 of those 14 have seen over 2.5 goals scored with Bayern Munich matches averaging 4.4 goals per game and Bayern Leverkusen matches averaging 3.9 goals per game.

The previous six meetings between these teams at the Bay Arena area have seen a total of 31 goals scored which is almost an average of five goals per game.

Juventus vs. AS Roma

Juventus will be glad to have three wins in a row after starting off the season with two draws and one loss. They are now up to 7th place and just four points behind Roma, this is a very important game for them if they wish to push on and hopefully win the league this season.

Roma has started to Serie A season off on the right foot under new coach Jose Mourinho, although they themselves will want to pick up a win here as they are currently six points adrift from Napoli at the top of the league table.

Even though Roma didn’t expect to win the league at the start of the season, following their positive start under Mourinho they believe they have a slim chance of becoming Seria A champions again this season.

For our soccer pick, we are targeting the over 2.0 gold line here. Both teams’ matches have averaged just over three goals per game this season thus far and the previous six head-to-heads have seen over 1.5 goals scored. Although I do expect this game to go over 2.5 goals, I will play it safe for the sake of the parlay and take the over 2.0 line meaning we will get a push if we end on two goals.

Soccer Pick: Juventus vs AS Roma Over 2.0 goals (-370)

FC Barcelona vs Valencia CF

This is expected to be a cracker in the Spanish La Liga this weekend as Barcelona and Valencia both sit on 12 points in the league table, and just like Juventus, Barcelona's win here is crucial if they wish to stay in the fight for the title, although it's very unlikely they will become champions this season as they just haven't got the squad or the ability to prove they are the best team in Spain.

Valencia has started well under their new coach this season and we expect them to get at Barcelona in this game. Take Valencia to score at least one goal to wrap up our +290 parlay in Europe this weekend. Barcelona has conceded a goal in four of their five home games so far this season while Valencia has scored an away goal in four of their five away games this season.
