Top European Soccer Predictions

Moneyline: Betis (-185)

Betis sits fifth following eight matches after only losing to Real Madrid (2-1) and Celta Vigo (1-0), just shy of a Champions League spot. Manuel Pellegrini built a strong and entertaining side that's very hard to play against. Betis not only became a top-four contender under him, but the squad is also now a European club after its Europa League group-stage qualification.

The mood is different in Almeria. The newly promoted club is 15th after winning seven points over eight matches. Their second victory of the campaign came last weekend when they beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1.

If Betis want to play Champions League football next year, they can't afford to let this match slip away.

Spread: Atalanta -1 (+135)

Alongside Napoli, Atalanta are the only undefeated side in Serie A after nine matches. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men sit second in the table, just two points adrift of Napoli.

Even though they haven’t started the current campaign with the same scoring production as the previous three seasons, Atalanta maintain their style and are constantly progressing. Atalanta enjoyed success in their last six home games against Sassuolo. There have been over 2.5 goals in 10 of Atalanta’s last 11 matches against Sassuolo, while the last six clashes in Bergamo between the clubs have featured two-plus goals.

Atalanta should be able to get goals past ninth-placed Sassuolo when they come visiting on Saturday.

Total: Stuttgart +2.5 (+105)

Bochum were the surprise team last week, as they beat Eintracht Frankfurt to record their first victory in nine matches this season. Still, they've only earned four points since the start of the campaign and sit at the bottom of the Bundesliga table.

Their goal differential says a lot about where they are right now. Bochum has scored eight goals while conceding 23. They've given up three-plus goals in six of their last seven Bundesliga away matches.

Stuttgart, who are also winless in nine games, are only a point ahead of Bochum in the standings. This bottom-of-the-table derby should be an open free-for-all encounter, with plenty of goals at both ends.

Upset: Mallorca or draw (-200)

Sevilla are fresh off changing managers after a disappointing start to the season. They only sit 18th in La Liga following just one win over eight games.

Meanwhile, Mallorca have notched nine points and are safe in the mid-table area (currently sitting 12th). Mallorca narrowly lost 1-0 to FC Barcelona in their previous home match after a brave and encouraging outing. Given Sevilla’s bad form and Mallorca's tight style, the hosts will be happy to walk away with a draw on Saturday.

Prop bet: Both Teams to score in Torino (-115)

Only two points separate Juventus (eighth) and Torino (10th) with nine games gone in the Serie A season. Juve haven't been meeting expectations. The 2-0 loss against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League added even more tension to the already troubled Juventus locker room.

But Moods might change with a positive result in the city derby against Torino. Juventus need to win, so their focus will be on scoring as early as possible. They're undefeated in the team's last 16 games against Torino, showing who's the boss in town.

However, Juve’s current defensive liabilities can’t be denied. Il Toro might find themselves in the best position to exploit their archrival’s many weaknesses. Torino might not win, but scoring on this Juventus team looks like a safe option for bettors.

Parlay: AS Roma win vs. Sampdoria and both to score (+230)

Roma finished sixth last season, but many thought they could enter the Scudetto race based on their impressive transfer activity. But Mourinho's club hasn't moved in any direction and sits in sixth again.

If they are to improve at all, a win against bottom club Sampdoria is mandatory on Monday. Sampdoria are winless while sitting at the bottom of the Serie A table. Their three points all came from draws, so beating Roma looks unlikely. Still, Roma have been insecure enough at the back to allow Sampdoria to at least hurt the Giallorossi during their confrontation.
