Chelsea lost 4-1 against Brighton last time out. The last time they lost consecutive league games was in December 2020 under Frank Lampard. However, the Blues are unbeaten at home in their last nine league games (five wins, four draws) since a 4-2 loss to Arsenal in April.
Arsenal have won their last two Premier League away games against Chelsea, as many as in their previous 16 visits. They’ve not won three in a row at Stamford Bridge since April 1974.
This London derby is massive for both clubs. If Arsenal win, they go 13 points ahead of Chelsea, which will be too big of a gap for the Blues to make up.
Arteta has rotated his squad for the Gunners to compete both domestically and in Europe this season. However, this is too big a match so soon after their Europa League tie on Thursday.
Despite their defeat last week, Potter has Chelsea playing well. The Blues boss has won three of his six Premier League games against Arsenal (one draw, two defeats). He’s beaten the Gunners more often than any other side in the competition.

Bukayo Saka appears to be fit for Sunday, which will be a major boost for the Gunners. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be fired up for the Blues against the manager who cut him in January.
Legs could be weary after a busy week of European action for both sides, so expect plenty of goals with so much at stake.

He’s now at Chelsea, for whom he’s scored three goals in just 11 appearances (Premier League and Champions League). Aubameyang won the FA Cup with Arsenal and scored 92 goals in 163 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.
This week, he sent a four-word message to his former team, as part of a TV promo, saying, “Arsenal, it’s nothing personal.” Expect sparks on Sunday.
Aubameyang scored once against the Blues during his time in north London. He could become just the second player to score for both sides in this fixture in the Premier League (excluding own goals), along with Cesc Fabregas.
