Eight teams remain in the Champions League, battling to be named the top team in European club football. Keep reading for our top Champions League picks for the quarterfinals.

Three teams are in a class of their own, according to the odds over at DraftKings Sportsbook. Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are all listed at +300 or lower. Chelsea ranks fourth at +1100, partly due to the fact that they have arguably the toughest matchup over two legs against Real Madrid. We'll visit all four matchups today, which should feature some favorites cruising to victory.

Here are my top betting picks and predictions for the Champions League quarterfinal (odds via FanDuel SportsbookBetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Champions League Predictions

Chelsea-Real Madrid both teams to score (-111)

The most intriguing and mouth-watering tie in the quarterfinals, both teams go into the first leg with title aspirations. While it can be easy to oppose goals in what will be a tense first leg, I see another way in by backing goals.

This is the first knockout stage with the away goals tiebreaker in the Champions League, and already we have seen a change in mentality from the participating teams. Teams are now not afraid to concede at home, and there's now more incentive to not shut up shop at home and try to knick one away. While that hasn't necessarily translated to goal fests in the Round of 16, that's probably why you're getting this at a discounted price considering the quality of the two teams.

Both of these teams rank in the top three in expected goals for in their respective domestic leagues, so they have plenty of firepower to put the ball in the back of the net. Chelsea conceded four against Brentford on Saturday, so they have shown some defensive vulnerability as of late.

Manchester City to win and Under 3.5 goals (-104)

There is a reason City are still the favorites in the Premier League despite being just a point up on Liverpool. They are in the top two of xGF, xGA, and xPTS overall, home, and away. What makes this game tricky is weighing the massive game they will have to play next Sunday against Liverpool that will likely decide the Premier League title.

City in recent years have become masters of winning games while controlling play and suffocating their opponents. Atletico Madrid only scored two goals over two legs against a Manchester United side that are 11th in xGA and 10th in goals against. They are not likely to threaten a City side that is much better defensively. That they rank second in xGA in La Liga means they'll be a much tougher team to break down than Sporting in the previous round.

This bet covers the top four favorites in the correct score market on FanDuel. City still have the quality to beat Atleti, and will likely try to exude as little energy as possible doing so.

Liverpool to win and both teams to score (+175)

Like City, Liverpool will have to weigh how to approach this match with the massive game Sunday. While an easier matchup on paper for the Reds, I still believe that Benfica can still get on the scoresheet.

The last time Benfica failed to score across all competitions was back on Dec. 23, in a cup match against Porto. Liverpool's goal-scoring exploits are well known. Only Bayern Munich have scored more goals across the top five leagues than Liverpool, and have the best goal difference. If we were to add Benfica to this list, they would rank third in goals for just behind Liverpool. They're also second in Europe in xGF but eighth in xGA.

Liverpool presents a serious step up in quality for Benfica, having lost just once across all competitions since Jan. 16. But the Portuguese side still should be good for at least a goal.

Bayern Munich -1 (+145)

Look solely at the Bundesliga table, and you may believe that Bayern have taken a step back being (only!) nine points ahead of Borussia Dortmund for the title at this stage of the season. However, a look under the hood reveals that Bayern are still the same dominant team that we have come to expect over the years.

Bayern are first in xGF in the Bundesliga, a whopping 30.29 xG above RB Leipzig. They are just barely second in xGA and haven't failed to score in a match all season. Despite the publicity and accolades City and Liverpool get, you can still easily make the case Bayern are the most complete team in Europe.

Their opponents in Villarreal have been a great story this season. But they are just ninth in xGA in La Liga and are likely overrated by the market due to the fact that they beat an overrated Juventus side away to advance. It's not as shocking a result as it might seem - Juve lost at home in the round of 16 to both Lyon and Porto the previous two years, teams I would put in the same tier as Villarreal.

The fact that you can get this at +145 compared to the close to even or just under even price at other sportsbooks is an absolute steal. I'd jump on it before it's too late.
