The Champions League quarter-finals 2nd leg should not have many upsets. I believe that the winning teams from the 1st leg will advance in the semis. It’s very tough to predict the winner in all 4 games because in 3 of them the value and the quality are very balanced, but we expect a lot of entertainment and many goals across all 4 games. Last week, our UCL BANKER hit with Chelsea scoring 2 goals against FC Porto. This week, our BANKER comes from Paris Saint-Germain vs. Bayern Munich. Here’s a complete preview of the game, updated soccer odds, and our top betting picks.

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Bayern Munich

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 – 03:00 PM EDT at Parc des Princes

This is by far the most anticipated match of the week in European soccer. PSG enter this leg as favorites to advance further in the competition after winning 3-2 on the road in the 1st leg. They will advance even with a 1-0 or 2-1 defeat as they scored 3 away goals last week.

Mauricio Pochettino rested some of his key players last weekend against Strasbourg. Angel Di Maria stayed on the bench while Neymar was suspended for the domestic league match and we expect both of them to return in the starting XI. Of course, Neymar will be joined by Kylian Mbappe in the attack. In the 1st leg, Neymar offered 2 assists while the explosive Mbappe scored a brace.

Unfortunately, Keylor Navas, Layvin Kurzawa and Mauro Icardi are all doubtful while Marquinhos and Juan Bernat are both ruled out. The good news is the return of Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi.

On the other side, Bayern Munich were actually extremely dominant in the 1st leg but missed great scoring opportunities. Bayern are unbeaten in 17 away games in the Champions League winning 13 of them in the process but they never had so many injury issues. Robert Lewandowski is the best striker in Europe right now but unfortunately, they can’t use him against PSG. Probably that’s why they failed to convert so many opportunities in the 1st leg.

On top of that, Bayern will be without Serge Gnabry and Niklas Sule while Lucas Hernandez, Leon Goretzka and Jerome Boateng are doubtful. Still, we expect another match dominated by the Bavarian giants and many goals from both teams. Why from both teams? Because the German champions will have to go all-in and leave many spaces behind and we know how deadly PSG are on the break with Mbappe’s amazing pace and with Neymar’s creativity.

We expect an impressive attacking display from Bayern, "the best team in Europe" labeled by Mauricio Pochettino, who, despite winning the 1st leg, considers Bayern as favorite in this tie. But Bayern have been noticeably vulnerable at the back this season and you can’t approach a match against PSG with high lines and sloppy marking. But now they are forced to do it as they need to win this game with 2 goals margin.

Neither PSG nor Bayern will be able to field their strongest XIs but you can simply not stop Mbappe and Neymar if they play their best football they might destroy Bayern once again. It’s tough to predict who will win this encounter but we have all the reasons to expect many goals.
