If within 4 days the Bundesliga title race is over, then the fight for the Champions League and relegation has been totally revamped. And so have been the usual goals galore in Germany, which has been the constant mood underneath the Bundesliga but in this weird Covid season has been heavily tarnished. Wolfsburg vs. Dortmund the main header, drama at Augsburg vs. FC Koln.
Wolfsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund
Saturday, April 24, 2021 – 09:30 AM EDT at Volkswagen Arena
There are many plots crossing around this game. Obviously, the most explicit one is that Wolfsburg are 3rd with 57 points and Dortmund are 5th with 52, and the outcome of this will be definitive if it's Wolfsburg to win, with the greens in Champions League and Borussia Dortmund in Europa League, cause it's better to keep in mind that after this is only 3 games to go till the end of the season. As Eintracht are at +4 on Dortmund, even a draw won't really make it for them, so you can be sure they will play without over tactics, and that splitting reward won't attract them.
That would also be the natural leaning of the black-yellows, but even more in such a situation. And actually, they are totally on top of their games since they played the tie against Manchester City, which gave them back confidence and their playing, putting the clock back to the first part of the season when they could seem a reliable challenger for Bayern Munich, before collapsing until the point of firing their manager.
Possibly they are actually the ones in the best form in the league after Bayern, and this gave them the biggest push. But Wolfsburg after losing against Eintracht and Bayern, had a very solid win in Stuttgart, that possibly many didn't expect, so they arrive at this with refreshed ambitions. Although Dortmund got that asset named Erling Haaland that nobody else possesses, except Bayern obviously.
And Haaland came out with a new dimension out of City tie, because in spite of not scoring and not being decisive, he still played as a leader, which is not exactly understood if you are 21 years old only at the second year playing at a high level. And therefore the game is decisive also for Haaland's future.
If Borussia Dortmund lose they are not in the Champions League, and if they are not in the Champions League then Haaland will want to leave. Quite some pressure... All in all, Dortmund have collected 3 wins in a row, their best streak since October, and in 4 out of the last 5 games, they have always registered the combo both teams to score + over 2.5 goals.

Freiburg vs. Hoffenheim
Saturday, April 24, 2021 - 09:30 AM EDT at Schwarzwald Stadion
Often Freiburg have been an asset for the punters along the season. After January 9 though they had not been able anymore to put 2 wins in a row, which is understandable because they were overperforming. But they downloaded 4 past Schalke last week, while the ever unreliable Hoffenheim are now 3 positive results in a row that left them in a safe position, which means they could not be that motivated against Freiburg actively fighting for Conference League which would be of their interest.
Augsburg vs. FC Koln
Friday, April 23, 2021 - 02:30 PM EDT at WWK Arena
Augsburg +7 over relegation and Hertha, but the Berliners have two games in hand and so they don't leave in peace the nights of the competitors. FC Koln are equal on points with Hertha, have come from incredibly beating RB Leipzig, and so they will have to play simply for their life in this game. If they lose it's over. If they win they are totally into the fight, if they draw it's almost over. And so imagine how open it will be...
