Flyers vs. New York Rangers
The Flyers are in the midst of another hot streak right now as they’ve won 12 of their last 16 games. They were nine games under .500 at the start of February but are now five games over. The difference for them – as it usually is – is their offense. They lead the league in goals per game this month with a 3.64 average. The Rangers come into this game on a roll of their own as they’ve triumphed in four straight and five of six. For them, goaltending has been the key as they’ve allowed just 10 goals in their last five. Henrik Lundqvist is on fire right now as he’s given up just 19 goals in his last 10 outings.
Lundqvist has had the upper hand on the Flyers in his career. He’s 26-13-3 against them. However, the Flyers have been more dominant of late, winning three of the last four meetings between the teams. With the NHL odds being where they are – the Rangers are favored by too much – I’ll take a shot with the Flyers. Their offense is one fire right now.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Calgary Flames
These two teams met recently (March 12th) in Calgary and the Flames handed the Ducks one of their worst losses of the year. They pounded them 7-2 in a win that started their current mini hot streak. The Flames have won five of seven and are playing their best hockey of the season. If you take a bigger snapshot of the teams, Anaheim is just 10-10-2 in their last 22 games while Calgary is 14-8 in that span. Does that make you think twice about adding the Ducks to your NHL picks on Wednesday – especially since they’re laying about -190?
The Ducks will want revenge here and will probably be quite fired up to get it. I can’t lay this type of juice, though. Instead, I’ll take the over as I see the Ducks offense playing better than they did when these two teams met a couple of weeks ago.
