Colorado Avalanche vs. New York Rangers 7:05 PM ET

NHL Money Line: Rangers -160/Avalanche +140

NHL Total: Over 5.5 (+100)/Under 5.5 (-120) at Bookmaker

The Rangers are coming off a 5-0 home win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in their previous game. The win improved the Rangers money line record to 7-8, and that equates to a .467 winning percentage. The Colorado Avalanche were hammered 6-0 versus the Devils on Tuesday night in their previous game. The combination of all these variables provides us with both a totals and money line betting system in this game, and I will surely use each of them to my advantage when making my NHL Picks for today.

Any money line home favorite, coming off a home win by 5-goals or more, versus an opponent coming off a loss by 2-goals or more, has gone 103-36 (74.1%) since 1996.

Free NHL Pick: Rangers -160 over the Avalanche

Any home team with a total of 5.5 playing in the 1st half of the season, coming off a home win by 3-goals or more, and they have a money line win percentage of .400 to .490, has seen 67 of those 96-games (69.8%) go under the total since 1996.

Free NHL Pick: Avalanche/Rangers to go under the total of 5.5

Winnipeg Jets vs. Carolina Hurricanes 7:05 PM ET

NHL Total: Over 5.0 (-129)/Under 5.0 (+117) Courtesy of BetOnline

After struggling to score goals to begin the season, the Carolina Hurricanes have scored 3-goals or more in each of their previous 6-games. However, even with that scoring surge they still are averaging just 2.50 goals per game on the year. When combining all of these Carolina goal scoring statistics, it leads us right into a solid totals betting system that we can utilize when making one of our NHL picks for today.

Any home team with a total of 5.0 or less, averaging 2.55 or less goals per game, and they’ve scored 3-goals or more in each of their last 3-games, has seen 84 of those 130-games (64.6%) go under the total since 1996.

Free NHL Pick: Jets/Hurricanes to go under the total of 5.0

Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens 7:30 PM ET

NHL Money Line: Canadiens -120/Bruins +100 at Pinnacle

The Canadiens enter tonight’s showdown between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference having gone 11-5 against the money line this season. Montreal is coming off a 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night in their previous game. This sets us up with a terrific money line betting system that I can’t ignore when making one of my NHL picks for today.

Any team in the 1st half of the season, coming off a home shutout win in their previous game, and they have a winning record, has gone 84-27 (75.7%) against the money line during the past 5-seasons.

Free NHL Pick: Canadiens -120 over the Bruins
