Three of the 11 games on the card will start before 3:00 PM ET, including the first game in our NHL picks, which is the Nashville-Minnesota showdown.

Nashville Predators vs. Minnesota Wild
Odds: Wild -110
I’m not sure that the right team is favored here as the Minnesota Wild are a mess right now. They enter Saturday’s contest having lost three straight and nine of their last 11 games. They look like they’re betting to get their head coach Mike Yeo fired as they’ve completely tuned him out. The main issue these days – as it has been most of the season – has been goaltending. The Wild allowed 3.58 goals per game in December, which was second-worst in the NHL and this month, they are giving up 4.00 goals per, which is fifth worst.

The Preds are 15-4 against teams with a losing record this season while the Wild are just 6-13 against winning teams. Take the Predators with your NHL picks here.

NHL Pick: Predators -110 at Bodog

Carolina Hurricanes vs. St. Louis Blues
Odds: Blues -220
The Hurricanes have won three of four but don’t count me in as a believer. They beat the Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres – all at home – and none of those teams are currently in playoff position in the East. The Hurricanes have been somewhat competitive at home but are just 4-16-2 when on the road this season. Beyond that, the Hurricanes are just 1-8 this season and 4-19 in their last 23 when on the road with a total of five or less. The Canes are also just 5-14 against teams with a winning record.

On the flip side, the Blues are 10-4 against teams with a losing record, are 11-4 at home with a total of 5 or less and are 9-4 in non-conference games. They’ve won three straight while scoring 20 goals in the process. Although the line is a bit high here, take the Blues on the puck line as I expect them to keep rolling.

NHL Pick: Blues -1.5 at The Greek

Winnipeg Jets vs. Los Angeles Kings
Odds: Kings -165
It’s a little bit of a risk here but I like the under in this matchup. The reason it’s a bit dicey is the Kings have not been playing well defensively as of late, giving up 11 goals in their last two games. However, a visit from the Jets should help them sort things out. The Jets have lost six of seven in Los Angeles while scoring just 18 goals in the process. Overall, the Jets have been held to two goals or less in four of their last five games.

On the season, the under is 7-2 in Jets games when they’re on the road with a total of 5 or less and 8-2 when they scored a goal or less in their previous game. Look for the Kings to bounce back with a strong defensive effort, get the win and keep this under the number.
