Even though there's no more NFL and NBA will be back soon, tonight we have a heavier overall slate of betting odds that provides those making sports picks more options to choose from.

Baylor vs. Texas Tech 7:00 ET  ESPN2
Texas Tech is having a tussle in the Big 12 with a 2-11 and 4-9 ATS mark, losing by 16.6 points a contest. Yet the Red Raiders are sinking underdogs, down from +10 to +8.5. Baylor arrives in Lubbock off two consecutive defeats and is .500 both SU and ATS away (5-5) from Waco this season. The Bears lost at Texas Tech last season by 10 as five-point road favorites and coach Tubby Smith’s team is 12-4 (5-6 ATS) at home - highlighted by a victory over then-No. 9 Iowa State on Jan. 24. Baylor should have ample motivation after two setbacks to play better and their 1-3-1 zone should give problems to the conference’s worst offensive team. As a college basketball handicapper, Texas Tech is unappealing even as a home dog for the college basketball picks.

College Basketball Pick – Lean Baylor

Wyoming vs. Nevada 10:00 ET  MWCN
With the diversity of overall records and positions in the Mountain West Conference, it was stunning to see Wyoming (20-6, 7-14 ATS) switched from -1.5 to +1.5 at Nevada (8-16, 10-12 ATS). The Cowboys might be in second place in the league at 9-4, but they have been in close games and been blown out on occasion which is why there point differential is even at 60.3 PPG on offense and defense. The Wolfpack are not imposing with a 4-9 MWC record, but those adjusting the NCAA basketball odds have spoken and think they can win. Even if the line goes back to Wyoming -1, all they have to do is win the game and despite their 3-6 ATS road record, they know how to perform in tight games and do enough to end up victorious.

N.Y. Islanders vs. Carolina Hurricanes 7:05 ET  MSG+, FS-CR
Its worst vs. first in this Metropolitan matchup and the cellar dweller is attracting the action on the NHL odds. Carolina engineered an upset at Winnipeg last night while the New York Islanders defense gave about as much effort as the NBA All-Stars did Sunday, in losing to the rival Rangers 6-5 on Monday. Sportsbooks issued the Isles at -140 on the money line and they have slid to -125. I will not be following the crowd as since the Hurricanes lost 5-3 and 4-3 to New York back in the first part of November, they are 0-9 revenging two straight losses when opponent scored three or more goals this season.

NHL Pick – New York wins

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs  7:35 ET FS-FL, SNO
This is a matter of choosing which team is likely to end its losing streak and those making NHL picks prefer Florida. The Panthers were sent out at +105 and they have been turned around to -120 visiting favorites. Florida has lost three in a row and six of nine, but netminder Roberto Luongo loves those Maple Leafs uniforms and the puck must look like a beach ball to him as he is 11-1 with 2.18 goals-against average versus them in recent starts. Toronto has also fallen three straight, however, there woes have been far longer, being 1-14 SU since Jan. 12th. The Leafs lost at Florida 6-4 back on Dec. 28th and are 2-10 with same-season revenge.

NHL Pick – Florida wins
