Tuesday is a busy NHL betting card with 11 games on the docket. We’ve got a separate preview and pick up on the Detroit-Los Angeles game, and below are our other three picks of the night.
Arizona Coyotes vs. New York Islanders
We accurately bet against the Coyotes on Monday and won, and we’re going to be looking at a similar play on Tuesday. They were shut out by the New Jersey Devils in a 3-0 result as we covered the puck line and the same play is on tap tonight.
Arizona has now lost six straight games while giving up at least three goals in each of those contests. They have allowed 23 goals in their last six while scoring just eight themselves. On Tuesday, they’ll be in a back-to-back situation and playing their third game in four nights in a third different city.
The Isles have lost two straight but this is a good spot for them to get back on track. Expect them to pummel the Coyotes.
Free NHL Pick: Islanders -1.5 at Bovada
Edmonton Oilers vs. Minnesota Wild
Odds: Wild -280
The Wild are a -1.5 point favorite on NHL odds tonight and are red-hot right now too, having won 13 of their last 17 games. They should be pretty focused on Tuesday to win one for their goaltender as this could be a personal one for him. The Wild have turned things around wince they acquired Devan Dubnyk, who had previously played and failed with the Oilers. You can tell he takes matchups with his former team seriously as he’s 5-0-0 with a 0.79 GAA against them.
Edmonton is not a team that’s been scoring a whole lot in road games this season anyways as their 2.26 GAA is the eight-lowest number in the NHL. The Wild have limited their opponents to just 25.8 shots per game in the last 17, which is the lowest in the NHL and combined with the fact that the Oilers only manage 27.8 shots per game (fourth-fewest) leads me to believe we’ll see an under here.

Dallas Stars vs. Winnipeg Jets
Odds: Jets -140
Both of the Jets goaltenders are struggling right now as Michael Hutchinson has a 3.46 GAA in his last eight while giving up four or more in six of those games. As for Ondrej Pavelec, he has a 3.34 GAA in his last 11 and has managed to win just three of those games.
As for the Stars, they haven’t had much better luck in net themselves. Kari Lehtonen has allowed 12 goals in his last two starts while Jhonas Enroth, who was acquired earlier this month to fix the woes, has given up 10 goals in two starts with Dallas.
3 of the last 4 meetings in Winnipeg have gone over and four of six overall. Take the over with your NHL picks here.
