There are a total of 12 games on the NHL menu for Saturday night and we’ve perused all of the lines to circle the three best NHL picks from the card.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

NHL Odds: Penguins -400

It’s pretty rare that you see any NHL team laying this much juice but the Sabres are simply that bad. They have yet to score a power play goal on 33 opportunities so far. On the year, they have 12 non-shootout goals but have allowed a league-worst 36. That means they are losing by an average score of 3.0-1.09.

Pittsburgh swept the season series last year while outscoring Buffalo 12-2. The gap between these two Eastern Conference teams has only grown, so take the Penguins puck line with your NHL picks here.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

NHL Odds: Blackhawks -150

The Maple Leafs offense has come to life in recent games as they’ve scored a total of eight goals in their last two games (four goals). However, that was against weaker competition and they should have a tough time finding goals on Saturday night – especially with the loss of Joffrey Lupul.

The NHL odds are favoring the Chicago Blackhawks, who should have Corey Crawford between the pipes and so far on the year, he has a 1.66 GAA and a .926 save percentage. With him in net, the Blackhawks played three unders and one over. As a matter of fact, the Blackhawks have only played two overs in 10 games this season.

Look for another low-scoring affair here with the game staying under 5.5.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers

NHL Odds: Flyers -113

The Flyers have been on a bit of a roll as they’ve won three of four. They’ve gotten into a rhythm as they’ve switched to Ray Emery as their lead goaltender. His numbers aren’t great (2.74 GAA, .915 save percentage) but he’s giving the team a chance to win. It has provided a spark and the offense has woken up, tallying at least three goals in each of their last four games.

Florida has proven to be very weak this season with just three wins in eight games. Those three wins came against lousy teams like Buffalo, Colorado and Arizona, so it’s hard to like their prospects here. The Flyers are the better team and you don’t have to pay much for a NHL pick on them.
