Another winning night with no closing value. Jackets lost a close 4-3 decision in overtime against the Hawks while Anaheim popped three early on in the game en route to a 4-0 close on the Sharks. Not much to report on that end.

Adding to the NHL memos that no one told me about is the seemingly unanimous perspective of Anthony Mantha. I am amazed at the haul the Wings got for him. He has very average numbers with a terrible team, and maybe he will post slightly better numbers with the Caps. Taylor Hall is a former Hart Trophy winner, who has been dealt for Larsson and Bjork. Oh, that is over two trades by the way, and his Hart win was sandwiched between those god-awful deals. Anyway, Mantha doesn’t make them worse, and we don’t know what was available yesterday.

All in all, there was not a ton of action on Sunday and Monday. That certainly is not a surprise given the state of things, however, it might have breathed some life into what has been a bit of repetitive season. A couple of teams, the Leafs included, shored up a couple of areas they might have been looking at, but it really was a quiet day in comparison to other years.

So another small card for me tonight. Starting a new progression on the Devils facing the Rangers. That is a four-game series coming up, and I will run this one for all four games. Other than that, just a straightforward shot on the Leafs and then an over to the Hall-acquired Bruins. It is just plain funny to think that he did so little for Buffalo, and they are now going to be paying him to score on them tonight in his debut!

PLEASE READ:

Always risking 1u, never ‘to win’ 1u. If I expose two, that still remains risking 2u, not betting 2.5 to win 1 simply because the price is shorter than what I have. A standard stake here is 1u = 1% of your bankroll. This will keep you in the game instead of busting out every other day because you decided to be stupid and put your entire bankroll down on 8 wagers. If you have worse prices don’t bet more to compensate. Please do not attach my plays in parlays, you are costing yourself extra money trying to cut corners.
