Sharks Unfazed after Working Overtime

The San Jose Sharks are a perfect 7-0 this season after their previous game was decided in overtime. So much for the mental and physical energy expended when playing extra time.

Uncomfortable at Home

The Colorado Avalanche have gone an abysmal 1-14 during their previous 15 home games. Unfortunately for Colorado backers, the road hasn’t been much better. The Avalanche are a pathetic 4-24 in their last 28 games overall and are presently mired in a 6-game losing streak.

The New Jersey Devils have lost 5 straight home games and were outscored by a substantial 15-5 margin. Ironically, these same Devils have been very good on the road of late.

Sens Tough Following Narrow Loss

The Ottawa Senators have taken exception to 1-goal losses this season. They’ve gone an outstanding 9-1 following those defeats by a slimmest of margins. It’s also worth noting, Ottawa has gone under the total in all 10 of their games this season when facing teams that kill off 85.5% or more of their opponent’s power play chances.

Total of 5.5 is a Hex for Caps

In one of the more astonishing NHL team trends this season. The Washington Capitals are a dreadful 0-6 this year when NHL betting odds display a total of 5.5 on their games. Remarkably, when the total is anything but 5.5, Washington has gone an extremely profitable 32-10.

Struggles Against Stout Defensive Teams

The Dallas Stars have endured their problems against stingy defensive teams. Specifically, Dallas is 1-8 this season versus teams that are allowing 2.4 or fewer goals per game. Switching topics pertaining to Dallas, they’ve gone 14-5 under the total this year following a game in which they allowed 4 goals or more.

These Jets are Grounded

The Winnipeg Jets have been plagued by their inconsistent play this season. As a matter of fact, Winnipeg is a fruitless 0-9 thus far after winning 2 straight games. Furthermore, the Jets are 16-33 at home during the past 3 seasons when facing opponents with a win percentage of better than .500. Keep a close eye on Winnipeg moving forward, and fading them after a 2-game win streak may be a money-making idea.

Flames Doused in Away Rinks

The Calgary Flames have lost 5 straight away games. What’s even more telling is the fact they scored just a combined 3 goals during those 5 road defeats.

Kings Low Scoring Road Games

The Los Angeles Kings have seen only 1 of their previous 11 away games go over the total. Furthermore, Los Angeles has gone under the total in all 7 away games during this 2016-2017 NHL campaign following a 1-goal road defeat.
