We’re into the conference finals in terms of the 2014-15 NHL playoffs. There have been some clear trends that have emerged and we’re going to share a few of the more profitable ones so that you can also cash on the NHL betting lines.

New York Rangers +1.5
So, it ended on Monday when the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the New York Rangers 6-2 but hopefully you’ve been cashing in long before that. The New York Rangers have been known to play close playoff games and the evidence supporting that case is astounding. Every single one of their playoff games prior to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference final was decided by exactly one goal. As a matter of fact, the streak had hit 15 straight playoff games that the Rangers had played where they hadn’t lost by more than a goal. That means if you’ve been betting the Rangers alternate puck line on the NHL betting odds, you’ve cashed many times in a row – even if you’ve been paying a bit of juice.

Even with the four-goal loss in Game 2, the Rangers +1.5 (-250 at Paddy Power) has still cashed in 18 of their last 20 playoff games.

Anaheim At Home With Total Of 5 Or Less
The Anaheim Ducks are still viewed as this high-scoring team that needs to outgun their opponents to get the job done. It makes sense to an extent as the Ducks were second in goals scored last season and seventh the year before. However, this team is quite different – even though much of the roster looks the same. They don’t win via blowouts anymore and they are actually constructed to win low-scoring, tight playoff games.

When you look up at the numbers, the Ducks are now a healthy 15-1 this season when playing at home with a total of five goals or less. If you’ve been betting them in that spot, you’ve cashed in 13.2 units of profit. Game 2 of the Western Conference final is on the Duck Pond and the total is again posted at just five goals. Given the Ducks track record in that role this season, don’t be surprised if they take a 2-0 series lead after Tuesday’s action.

Lightning Overs After Shaky Offensive Outings
The Tampa Bay Lightning have had one of the league’s best offenses over the last few seasons. Two years ago, they finished fifth in goals scored, last year, they were eighth. However, this year, they led the league in the category and have been tough to hold down. However, the Lightning have been held to one goal or less 15 times this season but the stats overwhelmingly show they bounce back very well. The Lightning are now a perfect 4-0 in the playoffs when being held to one goal or less and now 12-3 on the season. The better bet might even be the over as it’s now 10-2 following games where they scored a goal or less.

Keep an eye out going forward as if Tampa Bay is held under wraps, bet on them to bounce back along with the over for your NHL picks.
