We share our top NHL picks for Sunday, focusing on a money line & puck-line selection. If you want the ultimate edge when wagering on the NHL today, then this is a must read betting preview article!

Colorado Avalanche vs. Minnesota Wild 6:05 PM ET
Minnesota will attempt to continue their dominance over Colorado today when these Central Division rivals collide. According to the NHL odds on the puck-line at 5Dimes, Minnesota is -1.5 (+140), and Colorado is +1.5 (-150).

The Minnesota Wild has won the last five, eight of the last nine, and fifteen of their previous eighteen games against the money line. The Wild have also gone a perfect 4-0 versus the Colorado Avalanche this season, and have outscored them in those games by a cumulative 12-1 margin. Devan Dubnyk is scheduled to make his twenty fourth consecutive start in goal today for Minnesota. Since coming over in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes in January, Dubnyk has compiled a terrific 1.60 GAA, and posted five shutouts. I’m anticipating another decisive victory for the Wild over the Avalanche, and one of my NHL picks on Sunday will be indicative of just that.

NHL Picks: Minnesota -1.5 (+140) on the puck-line over Colorado at 5Dimes.

New York Rangers vs. Chicago Blackhawks 7:35 PM ET
The Rangers will visit the United Center in Chicago on Sunday to take on the Blackhawks. The NHL betting odds at Pinnacle shows Chicago as a -140 money line favorite in this game.

The New York Rangers enter tonight having lost two of their previous three games. They’ll also be playing against a team (Chicago) tonight which has gone 23-5 against the money line at home the last two seasons when facing an Eastern Conference opponent.

Although the Blackhawks have been a bit lackluster during the past few weeks, they’ve managed to win four of their last five games. Corey Crawford is slated to be in goal today for Chicago, and he’s coming off a brilliant performance in his last start that saw him turn aside 46 of 47 shots on goal during a 2-1 win over Edmonton. As a matter of fact, Crawford has gone 3-0 in his previous three starts, and compiled an excellent .969 save percentage in those outings.

NHL Picks: Blackhawks -137 from Pinnacle Sports
