St. Louis Blues winger Pavel Buchnevich has caught fire with eight goals and six assists through his past 10 games, and he headlines our top shot prop picks for Tuesday’s nine-game slate.

Here are our top NHL shot-prop picks for Tuesday (odds via Barstool Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top NHL Shot Prop Picks for Tuesday

  • Pavel Buchnevich Over 2.5 shots (+108 via FanDuel)
  • Jack Hughes Over 3.5 shots (-140 via Barstool)
  • Andre Burakovsky Over 2.5 shots (-118 via Barstool)

NHL Shot Prop Predictions

Buchnevich Over 2.5 shots (+108) ★★★

St. Louis Blues winger Pavel Buchnevich has shown an uptick in shot volume across his past 10 games with 26 shots and a team-high 49 attempts. He has also been particularly aggressive over his past two showings, with a whopping 17 attempts.

While the Blues are playing their second game in consecutive nights, I’m not concerned with the matchup. The Islanders have surrendered the seventh-most shot attempts per 60 minutes.

The odds available through FanDuel present more value than Caesars (+100), DraftKings (+100) and Barstool (-112). I also view the Barstool odds as the most accurate number for Buchnevich's shot total Tuesday, which further reinforces the value FanDuel is providing.

Hughes Over 3.5 shots (-130) ★★★★

New Jersey Devils winger Jack Hughes has seen his volume dip over the past two games with just three shots and seven attempts. I’m viewing this as a slump-busting matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks, and the odds available through Barstool present an edge with an implied probability of 56.5% that Hughes goes over 3.5 shots.

Hughes has cleared this total in 16 of 25 games this season, and his odds to go over the number are as short as -146 through Caesars.

The Blackhawks have surrendered the third-most shot attempts per 60 minutes, and they also rank last in the NHL in five-on-five venue-adjusted Corsi For percentage. This is a terrific matchup for Hughes and the Devils.

Burakovsky Over 2.5 shots (-112) ★★★

The Montreal Canadiens check out as a vulnerable opponent in shot prop markets Tuesday. Montreal has allowed the eighth-most shot attempts per 60 minutes, and this is also a back-to-back spot and the third road game in four nights for the Habs.

Seattle Kraken winger Andrei Burakovsky has settled into a top offensive role and has cleared this 2.5 shot total in six of his past seven games. He has also paced the team in shots (23) and attempts (38) during that span while averaging 18:05 of ice time.

Barstool is offering the best odds for this shot prop, which is trading as low as -125 via Caesars and DraftKings.
