Join us in reading our NHL betting preview article on the game between Anaheim and Toronto. These are two of the hottest teams in the NHL right now. We’ll provide you with all the necessary handicapping information on this contest in order to give you the best possible edge.

Ducks at the Air Canada Centre
The Maple Leafs will host the Ducks on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The opening faceoff is slated for 7:35 PM ET. At the time of this writing, the NHL betting odds at Pinnacle indicate that Toronto is a -109 money line favorite, and the posted total is 6.0. This will be the first meeting of the season between these teams. Toronto defeated Anaheim in both of their encounters a season ago.

Red-Hot and Road Tested
The Anaheim Ducks enter tonight’s game on a 7-game winning streak, and has also won 10 of their last 12 overall. The Ducks have gone a terrific 11-5 against the money line on the road this season including, and have won their last 4 in a row in that role. Anaheim has lit the lamp with regularity during this current 7-game winning streak by averaging 3.9 goals per contest during that time. The Ducks are currently first in the Pacific Division, and are atop the Western Conference Standings. Anaheim will once again call upon Frederik Andersen to make the start in goal tonight. This will be the 18th consecutive game that Anderson will be the starting goaltender for the Ducks. He’s been red-hot over his last 3-starts with a 1.33 GAA, and compiled a superb .945 save percentage during that time.

Continuing their Hot Streak
Talking about red-hot teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs isn’t taking a backseat to anyone in the NHL right now. They’re currently on a 5-game winning streak, in addition to winning 7 of the last 8, and 9 of their previous 11-games. Similar to their opponent (Anaheim) this evening, the Leafs have been on a goal scoring binge of late. They’ve scored 45-goals during their last 11-games. As a matter of fact, Toronto has scored 4-goals or more in 8 of those previous 11-contests. They’ve also been sizzling hot at home. Toronto has won the last 4, and 8 of their last 9-games at the Air Canada Centre.

Final Analysis
This has all the ear marks of a wide open and wildly entertaining game. Both teams are on winning rolls heading into this contest, and they’ve done so by displaying impressive offensive numbers over the past few weeks. Despite the majority of the early money being wagered on the under in this game, the total has moved from its opener of 5.5 to 6.0 at most of the major sportsbooks. We’re going to be using the total in this one for one of my NHL picks today.

Free NHL Pick: Anaheim/Toronto to go over the total of 6.0
