Our NHL consultant will share his three best totals selections for Saturday. Take the time to read this informative NHL betting preview article to find out why he likes the totals in the games between Colorado/Columbus, Nashville/Winnipeg, and Vancouver/San Jose.

High Scoring is the Flavor of the Day in Columbus
The Columbus Blue Jackets will be at home on Saturday at 7:05 PM ET to take on the Colorado Avalanche. According to the NHL betting odds at The Greek, the total in this game is posted at 5.5. These teams have met once this season, and that game went over the total during a 4-3 Columbus road win.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have seen five of the last six, and nine of their previous twelve games go over the total. The Jackets have seen just eleven of their thirty-two home games (34.4%) go under the number this season. They’ll be facing a Colorado team which has gone under the total in only three of their previous eleven games, and has averaged a robust 3.3 goals scored per contest during that time.

NHL Pick:  Colorado and Columbus to go over the total of 5.5  at The Greek.

Here Are Some Extra Profitable Locks for Tonight's NHL Action

Central Division Showdown in the Music City
The Nashville Predators entertain the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday at 7:05 PM ET. According to the NHL betting odds at 5Dimes, the posted total in this game is 5.0. This will be the fifth meeting of the season between these Central Division rivals, and each of the first four went under the total.

The Nashville Predators have seen each of their previous five games at home go over the total. The Predators also enter tonight on a season long five game losing streak, and have allowed 3.8 goals per contest during that futile stretch. The usually reliable Pekka Rinne is slated to get the start in goal for the Predators. However, Rinne has struggled over his previous four starts as evidenced by a below average .882 save percentage in those outings. The Predators will be facing a Winnipeg Jets club that’s seen six of their last eight games go over the total, and that includes each of their previous three on the road.

NHL Pick: Nashville and Winnipeg to go over the total of 5.0 at 5Dimes

Battle in the Pacific at “The Shark Tank”
The San Jose Sharks will be at home on Saturday in a Pacific Division game versus the Vancouver Canucks at 10:05 PM ET. According to the NHL betting odds at Bodog, the total in this contest is 5.5. This will be the fifth meeting of the season between these division rivals and the road team has won all of the previous four.

The Vancouver Canucks have seen just three of their previous eighteen games (16.7%) go under the total. Vancouver has allowed an average of 5.0 goals per game during their last four contests. They’ll be opposed by a San Jose club which has gone under the total in only four of their previous twenty games. The Sharks probable starting goaltender on Saturday will be Antti Niemi. San Jose has stayed under the total in just one of their previous twelve, and two of their last sixteen when Niemi is their starter. I like this game to be a high scoring affair, and one of my NHL picks for Saturday will indicate just that.

NHL Pick: Vancouver and San Jose to go over the total of 5.5 at Bodog
