The 'under' is 21-10-3 in the Sabres last 34 games playing on just one day rest.  Will this streak continue tonight?, Champion Handicapper Dana Lane has your answer.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Buffalo Sabres

Sometimes things seem to work out as was the case yesterday when my computer/template crashed for no reason just as I was about to send last night’s NHL play which was the Detroit Redwings, Calgary Flames ‘under’ 5. Well, it ended 3-2 so no harm, no foul.

Tonight, we roll skate into the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, where the Lightning and the Sabres are desperately trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. It’s not out of the question to say, whichever team drops this game is probably out for good.

It’s not the side that has my interest piqued; it’s the total which has drawn some ‘over’ money from the public early on. We see that over 84% of all tickets written on the total have come on the ‘over’ but not enough money to move the line much, meaning, that money is square money, even better for us.

Always make sure to get the best lines available at all SBR approved sportsbooks.

Let’s be realistic about this, both Tampa and Buffalo will probably not make the playoffs and you have to wonder how that is playing in the respective lockerrooms. Jon Cooper, who seems to always be at odds with at least one player on his team, is five points behind the New York Islanders for the last wild card spot, while Dan Bylsma’s team trails the Islanders by six points. Both have to jump over Toronto, Florida, and Philadelphia to get in. Point is, it’s been a long season for both teams and I wonder with the Lightning’s loss to the Penguins last night if the reality of not making the playoffs has hit them. With that being said, I expect one more fantastic effort out of both teams tonight knowing the loser will for sure go home for the 2016-2017 season.

From an injury standpoint, the Sabres are one of the league’s worst offensive teams, yes I know they have played better since the return of Jack Eichel but his return hasn’t pulled them out of the bottom half of the league in goals per game, where they’ve sat with or without Eichel. Now Kyle Okposo, their leading scorer, is out with a rib injury so it begs the question, where is the Sabres scoring coming from.

We’re going to get some of the ‘under’ action while the public drives the price down for us. Wait until game time to bet this one so we can maximize our return.
