Join this NHL handicapper who examines tonight’s NHL Western Conference showdown between Winnipeg and Calgary using a 23-8 NHL money line betting system.

NHL Battle of Western Canadian Teams
The Calgary Flames will host the Winnipeg Jets tonight at 9:05 PM ET. According to the NHL betting odds at Bookmaker, Calgary is a -106 money line favorite, and the current posted total is 5.0. These Western Conference rivals have met just once this season, and Calgary skated away with a 4-1 road win. The two clubs met three times a season ago, and each one of those contests went over the total, and had an average of 8.0 goals combined per game scored.

We share NHL picks for all of Monday's matchups here.

Sizing up both Teams
The Winnipeg Jets have been abysmal since returning from the NHL All-Star break. They’ve lost all three games since that time, and have allowed five goals in each of those contests. The Jets are slated to go with Ondrej Pavalec in goal tonight. Pavalec has played very well despite going a less than impressive 12-18 in thirty starts this season. However, the Jets have gone a very good 14-7 in their 21-games when Pavalec wasn’t their starting goaltender.

The Calgary Flames enter tonight’s game having won six of their last eight games overall. They’re coming off a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers in their previous games. The Flames are an outstanding 6-1 this season following a win versus an opponent (Edmonton) from within their own division.

NHL Betting System
The Calgary Flames have a winning percentage of .540 this season. The Winnipeg Jets are coming off a 5-2 home loss at the hands of their Central Division rival the Dallas Stars in its previous game. That leads us to an extremely profitable money line betting system which we must recognize when making our NHL picks for Monday.

Any home team (Calgary) playing in the second half of the season, and has a winning record, versus an opponent which is -100 to -150 on the money line, and that opponent (Winnipeg) is coming off a loss by 3-goals or more against a team from within their own division, has gone 23-8 (74.2%) against the money line since 1996.
