With seven games during a busy NHL slate Sunday, there are plenty of potential prop opportunities for you to make a little extra cash to completely blow on Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Here are our NHL prop picks for Sunday.

For today’s top prop bets, we’re counting on the dynamic duo of Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov to combine for at least one goal, while a suddenly hot Auston Matthews looks to push his goal-streak to three games.

Here are my NHL prop picks for Sunday's action (all odds via FanDuel, and pick confidence is based on a one-to-five star scale).

NHL Prop Predictions

Ovechkin to score a goal (+124)

You’ll never go broke betting on Ovechkin to find the back of the net.

It doesn’t matter that the Capitals are facing one of the NHL's top teams, the Russian sniper will score against the Carolina Hurricanes. Ovechkin is scoring at a blistering pace, tallying 18 over 21 games. He's potted five goals over his past five games, including a hat trick in his last outing against the Florida Panthers on Friday night.

It’s always smart to bet plus-money on a Russian cyborg programmed to destroy twine.

Kuznetsov to record an assist (-112)

It pays to ride shotgun with the greatest goalscorer ever.

With Nicklas Backstrom out with a hip injury, Kuznetsov has flourished as Ovechkin’s primary setup man, racking up 20 assists in 21 games. The 29-year-old Russian is red-hot over his last five games while notching seven assists. He's also recorded at least one helper in 13 of his 21 games this season.

If you’re betting on Ovechkin, it’s not a bad idea to back Kuznetsov to put the puck on his stick.

Matthews to score a goal (+116)

Matthews’ puck luck is starting to turn around.

The reigning Rocket Richard trophy winner is beginning to harness his weaponized shot while scoring goals in consecutive games for the first time this season earlier this week. He's now recorded nine goals in 19 games.

Matthews is averaging 4.4 shots per game over his last five contests. The forward will continue his reign of terror in California against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday if he keeps firing the puck at such a dizzying pace.
