Monday brings us an eight-game NHL slate that kicks off early in the afternoon. Below, we’ll break down a few NHL prop picks that we hope bring us value and profit.

For Monday's top NHL props, we’re betting on the Colorado Avalanche to continue their torrid offensive pace, and for Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane to stuff the scoresheet.

Here are my NHL prop picks for Monday’s action (odds via Draftkings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top NHL Prop Predictions

Avalanche Over 4.5 (+180)

The Avalanche continue to be a wagon. Winners of seven out of their last eight games played, they cannot be stopped. Several players have been regularly featured in our NHL prop picks, but we're targeting this team prop for Monday.

Their only weakness is goaltending, as free-agent addition Darcy Kuemper has been merely average between the pipes with a .908 save percentage and 2.74 goals against average. But hey, when you’re leading the league in goals per game as a team (4.29), you make it work.

Their opponents, the Minnesota Wild, enter this game on a three-game win streak. Led by Russian sensation Kirill Kaprizov, this squad packs some offensive punch themselves.

Though talented offensively, the Wild have struggled on the backend. They enter this matchup 24th in the league 2.63 goals against per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 play.

The Avalanche scored four or more goals in each of their eight games. As Minnesota continues to struggle defensively, look for Colorado to put up some gaudy numbers on the board.

Kane Over 1.5 points (+160)

At 33 years old, Patrick Kane has shown no signs of slowing down. The future Hall of Famer has 34-points in 34 games played this season.

The Blackhawks got off to an abysmal start, but they’ve played better since a coaching chance and are currently riding a four-game win streak that has them up to 15-18-5 on the season.

They’ll be facing off against the Seattle Kraken, who entered the season with much hype despite a lackluster expansion draft. They currently sit last in the Pacific Division with a mere 24 points through 37 games to sit 30th by points percentage.

Free-agent goaltender Philipp Grubauer was supposed to give this team a true No. 1; however, he has been a total liability, registering a minus-20.6 GSAA - not ideal after signing a lucrative six-year, $35.4 million deal.

The Kraken lack offensive firepower and ranks second-last in the league in GA/60 at 5-on-5, averaging 3.17 goals against.

The Blackhawks should have no trouble finding the back of the net on Monday, and we should expect Kane to be leading the offensive charge. Back him to get two or more points for our NHL prop picks.

Hertl anytime goal (+195)

Hertl continues to be underrated despite being an exceptional centerman for the Sharks. He plays alongside the talented Timo Meier and leads his team with 20 goals through 39 games.

Hertl currently ranks 11th league-wide in ixG (individual expected goals) at 5-on-5, so we can expect him to sustain his goal-scoring pace and maybe even improve.

The Sharks are slight favorites in their matchup against the Los Angeles Kings at (-115). This 1 p.m. PT matchup should be a close one, and if the Sharks are going to prevail against their division rivals, we can expect Hertl to be involved offensively.
