Our NHL consultant previews Friday’s Central Division contest between Chicago and Winnipeg. We invite you to read his insightful betting preview article on this contest which includes an 86.2% winning angle during the past five seasons.

Central Division Clash North of the Border
The Winnipeg Jets will entertain the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday at 8:05 PM ET. According to the NHL odds at Pinnacle, Chicago is a -160 money line favorite, and the posted total is 5.5. These teams have met three times this season, and all of those games took place in Chicago with the Jets skating away with a win on each occasion.

Shockingly Anemic Offensively of Late
The Chicago Blackhawks have incredibly been shutout in each of their previous two games, 2-0 at San Jose, and 3-0 at Minnesota. Recent history isn’t on the Blackhawks side. Chicago has gone 0-5 the past two seasons following a road loss in which they were shutout, and they were outscored by an average of 2.0 goals per game. On a positive note, Cory Crawford continues to be the model of consistency in goal for the Hawks. He’s posted a .921 save percentage during his past four starts, and is at .920 for the season. Friday will be the Hawks fifth of six consecutive games on the road.

Hitting the Wall in Winnipeg
The Winnipeg Jets are having troubles of their own in recent games. The Jets have lost five in a row heading into Friday’s Central Division showdown. The good news for the Jets, the loss suffered in their previous game came in overtime. Winnipeg has gone 7-1 this season following an overtime loss, and has a large +1.9 goal per game differential in those contests. The Jets have seen only two of their previous twenty-three games (8.7%) stay under the total.

NHL Money Line Betting System
The last meeting between these teams came on January 16th in Chicago, and the Jets were a 4-2 winner. As I alluded to earlier, Chicago was shutout in their previous game. These aforementioned events qualify this contest for an extremely profitable money line betting system. I would be foolish not to take this system into consideration when making my NHL Picks for Friday.

Any home team, versus an opponent coming off a road loss in which they were shutout, and they’re playing with same season revenge stemming from a home loss by two goals or more, has gone 25-4 (86.2%) during the past five seasons, and that includes 12-1 (.923) during the past three seasons.

NHL Pick: Play on Winnipeg +150 over Chicago on the money-line at Pinnacle.
