To my chagrin, Tkachuk didn't score against the Detroit Red Wings during Monday's rugged defensive battle. The Ottawa Senators captain is doing his utmost to drag his team into the playoffs, which includes lighting the lamp at the highest clip of the season. Tkachuk has six goals in his last six games, scoring in five straight before Monday's tilt. 

Those six goals represent 23% of his total in just 9% of games. He has three goals in the previous three outings against the Philadelphia Flyers, and I like his chances of extending it to four. On Sunday against the Los Angeles Kings, Hertl scored his first hat trick of the season. That made it 27 goals on the season, seven of which in the previous eight games. Like Tkachuk, Hertl is enjoying his most abundant goal-scoring patch of the campaign, and I think it will continue against the league's worst defensive team on home ice.

The Pittsburgh Penguins allow 3.78 goals per game at PPG Paints Arena. In the last five home games, the Pens have conceded 26 goals, including eight to the Washington Capitals and six to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Meanwhile, Vegas has scored at least four in three straight.

Hopefully, Eichel sets Hertl up for his goal. Eichel has 57 assists in 62 games, the fifth-most in the NHL. That's a 0.92 assist-per-game rate. As if that's not prolific enough, the American 28-year-old is on a five-game assist streak, notching seven. He has four helpers in the last four games against Pittsburgh.

On Friday, Eichel had an assist against the Pens in a 4-0 Golden Knights win. A winning $10 bet will profit $7.69.

Stutzl is an assist machine lately. He recently had his 11-game assist streak broken by the Blackhawks in Chicago. Stutzl recovered with an assist in the subsequent game against the New York Rangers. The 23-year-old is receiving heaping plaudits for his consistency, reflected by posting 15 assists in the previous 14 games, tied for third-most behind Roope Hintz (18) and Nathan MacKinnon (19). 

He also had a helper against the Flyers in their last meeting.
