Almost Spring Break for the Panthers
The Florida Panthers are playing out the proverbial string in what’s been an extremely disappointing season. However, they’re coming off a 3-2 home win over Dallas on Sunday which enabled them to snap a 5-game losing streak. The Panthers are a dismal 2-8 in their last 10, and 7-20 in the last 27-games. Florida has scored 3-goals or less in each of their last 12-games. The Panthers special teams have been just awful this year. The power play ranks next to last in the NHL, and their penalty killing is statistically at the bottom of the league. This will be the 3rd of a 5-game in 9-day home stand for the Panthers which will close out their regular season.

Much Needed Win for Philadelphia
The Flyers play of late doesn’t resemble a team that’s gearing up for the postseason. As a matter of fact they haven’t even clinched a playoff spot yet, although they would virtually have to lose each of their last 4-games for them not to be a playoff participant. The good news is they’re coming off a 5-2 home win on Sunday over the Buffalo Sabres. The win snapped a 4-game losing streak. Tonight will be the 1st of a 3-game in 5-day road trip for Philadelphia. The Flyers have gone just 16-22 versus the money line on the road this season including 1-4 in their last 5. They will conclude the season with a home game versus the Carolina Hurricanes. The Flyers have gone under the total in just 13 of their 38 road games this season, including just 6 of their last 28 in that role.
