The Florida Panthers extended their win streak on Tuesday night, while the Nashville Predators finally got some offense going on Monday. Check our NHL pick inside.

Panthers Grab Big Road Win Over Blues
The Florida Panthers come in off a solid 3-1 road win over a strong Blues club that plays well at home. Derek Mackenzie was the offensive star of the game as he scored twice to notch his 2nd and 3rd goals of the year  Both came in the 2nd period and both were unassisted. His heroics have now helped the Panthers to their 3rd win in a row.  Scoring the other goal for the Panthers was Brandon Pirri, which was his 5th of the year.

Roberto Luongo was also the star of the game as he stopped 29 of 30 shots in the win. Luongo has been hot as he has won all three of the games on the Panthers win streak allowing a total of four goals in the three games. He is now 9-11 on the year with a 2.31 GAA and vs the Preds he is 16-18 with a 2.17 GAA in his career. Florida is an average offensive team as they come in ranked 17th in scoring, putting up 2.5 gpg, and they are 10th on the power play, converting on 20.2% of their chances. On defense they have allowed just 2.5  gpg, which is 10th in the league, but have struggled on the penalty kill, where they are 20th.

Forsberg & Weber Lead Preds Over Coyotes
The Nashville Predators have had some scoring issues of late, but that wasn’t the case in their 5-2 home win over the Coyotes on Tuesday night. Filip Forsberg scored twice and added an assists, while Shea Weber had three assists in the win. For Forsberg, he now has five goals on the year, while James Neal also scored in the game which was his 10th of the year, which leads the team. Weber has 16 points now and that is good for 2nd on the team.

Pekka Rinne picked up the win in the game and is now 11-9 on the year with a 2.33 GAA. He should get the start in this game as well and is 4-2 with a 2.13 GAA in his career vs the Panthers. Nashville has not been a great offensive team this year as they rank 16th in scoring, putting up 2.6 gpg, despite the fact that they are 4th in shots per game, which puts them at 20th in the league in offensive shot percentage (8.31%). On defense they come in ranked 11th in goals allowed (2.5 gpg) and third in shots allowed, which puts them at 22nd in save percentage (.906%).

The Under is 15-4-8 in their last 27 games following a win.

The Under is 34-16-11 in their last 61 after allowing teo goals or less in their previous game.

The Under is 4-1-2 in their last seven games playing on one days rest.

The Under is 3-0-3 in their last six vs. the Eastern Conference.

Both teams are not very efficient on offense and the Panthers have the 5th best save percentage in the league. Nashville has scored just 2.2 gpg in their last 10 games, while the panthers have put up just 2.4 gpg over the same stretch, plus the Preds have allowed just 2.17 GPG at home for the year and Florida has allowed just 2.45 gpg on the road. My crystal ball says four goals or less here. Against the NHL odds, take the total of the game 'Under' as our NHL pick.
