The Edmonton Oilers visit the Dallas Stars on Tuesday with both teams riding hot streaks. We make our top Oilers vs Stars NHL picks below.

The Oilers hit the road for a three-game southern swing starting Tuesday in Dallas. Edmonton (13-4 straight up, 11-6 Over/Under) has won its last two games after a 2-3-0 stretch

The Stars (7-9 SU, 7-9 O/U) have won three of four games after a rough 1-4-2 string. Both of these teams have won three of their last four games coming into Tuesday's clash.

Here are my picks and predictions for Tuesday’s NHL matchup between the Oilers and the Stars (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Oilers vs. Stars Predictions

Oilers (-105)

The Oilers are coming off back-to-back wins and have won three of their last four games. They’re 13-4-0 on the season and it’s rare that you’ll see them as underdogs. When they are dogs, they have a lot of value.

C Connor McDavid and LW Leon Draisiatl are two of the best players in the league, and they’ve helped the Oilers put up 3.88 goals per game to rank third in the league. The Stars, on the other hand, score only 2.63 goals per game and allow 3.13 per game.

Edmonton also has a league-best 39.62% power play, while the Stars' penalty kill is 27th at 76.36%.

The Oilers are a good team and bring us some good value at -105. I’d also take a gander at the alternate puck line of -1.5 (+220).

Over 6 (-120)

The Oilers and Stars have both played a lot of high-scoring games recently. Edmonton’s high-powered offense should continue that trend on Tuesday.

Edmonton has gone Over the projected total in three of its last four games and in 11 of 17 contests on the season. The Stars went Over the total in seven straight games prior to Saturday's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues.

The Oilers have scored five or more goals in 10 of 17 games this season and allowed two or more in 14 of 17. We're looking at a final score around 5-3, or at least 4-2 to push the Over 6.
