After a hectic Saturday night where 26 of the NHL teams were in action, Sunday will be a quiet day on the ice with just four games and eight teams scheduled. Here are our top 3 NHL picks of the day.

St. Louis Blues vs. Winnipeg Jets

NHL Odds: Blues -125

The St. Louis Blues hot streak appears to be over. They had won 10 of 11 but have gone a bit cold. They had lost two straight entering Saturday. On Sunday, they’ll face the Winnipeg Jets, who have gone down a similar path. Early in the month, the Jets had won three straight and five of six. More recently, though, the Jets have dropped three of four and six of nine heading into Sunday’s affair.

Even though the Blues are in a back-to-back situation here, they are clearly the better team in this spot. They’re at losing to respectable teams like at Boston and at Montreal, two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Jets are just 4-4-1 and don’t sport a strong home-ice advantage. Lay the juice with your NHL picks here.

Arizona Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks

NHL Odds: Ducks -200

The Anaheim Ducks are in a funk but their latest performance could signal that they’re on the other side of it. The Ducks are coming off an impressive 4-3 shootout win in Vancouver and it was impressive because the Canucks have been a solid team this season and the Ducks had lost six of seven entering that game.

Now the Ducks are back at home hosting an Arizona Coyotes team that’s had its fair share of struggles too. Arizona had lost five of seven entering Saturday’s game in San Jose, which means they’ll be in a tight spot in a back-to-back. I don’t want to lay all of the juice with the Ducks but the puck line seems to make sense. The Ducks should get the win here and we’ll bank on them covering the extra goal as we knock down the juice.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Vancouver Canucks

NHL Odds: Blackhawks -120

The Chicago Blackhawks Western Canadian road trip continues on Sunday as they visit the Canucks. The Blackhawks have played well recently, winning four of their last five entering Saturday. However, they could be in a challenging spot on Sunday as it will be their third game in four nights (and on a back-to-back) in their third different city on the road. Meanwhile, Vancouver is just one of four teams that will be resting on Saturday night, so they should be the fresher of the two teams.

The Blackhawks are basically a .500 team on the road and considering the travel, it doesn’t make sense that they’re laying juice in this spot. This game should be closer to a PICK. Vancouver NHL odds are not that great at home (5-3-1) but this figures to be a spot where home-ice advantage is a factor. That being the case, take a shot with the Canucks as a home dog.
