The Los Angeles Kings have won three straight over the New York Rangers, and are now on the brink of clinching. Can they cash on the NHL odds in Game 4, and seal the deal? A sweep in the Stanley Cup final would be quite impressive.

The Los Angeles Kings Can Win Because…
They have the Rangers number. They slept-walked through Games 1 and 2, and still won. In Game 3, they finally played better and cruised to a win. What’s scary is that they still haven’t played their best game. They only had 15 shots in Game 3 and Anze Kopitar, the NHL’s leading point scorer, still doesn’t have a goal in this series.

The Rangers are simply demoralized. If they score first, the Kings can come back. If the Kings score first, the Rangers don’t have what it takes to climb out of the hole. This series is over.

The New York Rangers Can Win Because…
The Kings have fallen asleep for multiple games before. Take a look back to Round 1 when the Kings fell behind 0-3. Or when the Kings held a 2-0 lead in Round 2, they allowed the Ducks to win three straight. While it doesn’t look good for the Rangers right now, things can change quickly. It’s do or die time for them, which means based on motivation, they should be able to outwork and outhustle the Kings. They need to rely on their quickness to get the job done. If they can hold the Kings to just 15 shots again in Game 4, there’s a great change this series extends one more game.

Outlook & Pick
It’s hard to back the Rangers in this spot, as they look like they’ve mentally checked-out. Henrik Lundqvist has given up at least three goals in every game this series, which is shocking. He has an .892 save percentage in the finals.

For one game, though, he’ll carry the Rangers. The Rangers are a better road team than at home, but I expect them to finally way a conservative-style game.
