Wednesday’s card is a quiet one with just three games on the schedule. We’ve got the rundown on each of the three contests below.

Montreal Canadiens @ Philadelphia Flyers

I’ve been backing the Flyers for the last couple of weeks but Wednesday is a spot where I’ll bet against them with my NHL picks. The reason for that is they’re in a tough spot with a tight turnaround. Tuesday’s stop in New Jersey was their last of a six-game road trip and now they have a tight back-to-back, playing host to Montreal on Wednesday. Based on the fatigue factor, I’ll take a shot with the Habs.

Pick: Canadiens +107 at Pinnacle

New York Rangers @ Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks are in a slump – by their standards – as they are just 2-0-3 in their last five games. That basically means they’ve lost three of their last five. However, I’m not willing to bet against them on Wednesday considering who is coming to town.

The Rangers haven’t been impressive lately as they have dropped two of three, including a home loss to Columbus in their most recent contest. You’re getting about +175 with them on the lines but this is not a team that plays well against elite competition.

I’ll take the under with my NHL picks here as the Blackhawks offense has tapered off. They have just 10 goals in their last five.

Ottawa Senators @ Colorado Avalanche

The Sens look like a decent value play in this spot as they’ve won four straight and five of six. They’ll be on the road in Colorado on Wednesday night facing an Avs team that’s cooled off significantly since their blistering pace at the beginning of the year. Since starting 19-6-0, the Avs are just 7-6-4 (or 7-10) in their last 17 games. That being the case, I’d rather take the value on the NHL odds with the team that’s playing better. I’ll take Ottawa.
