With only a few hours left until the start of tonight's NHL action, it's time for one last look at the hockey odds. What kind of movement has there been?

Montreal Canadiens vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

The game of the day hasn't seen really any kind of shift in the odds, as the Penguins remain -145 favorites.

Both teams are in the top five in terms of goalscoring, which is why the O/U for tonight's game is at 5.5. Right now the UNDER is getting more action (-118) than the OVER (+18), and that's the play that David Lawrence is adding to his plays in his NHL picks of the day article.

In the end, Lawrence feels Pittsburgh will likely end up with the win, but he's not confident enough to back them at the available odds. He therefore is taking a chance on the UNDER, hoping the offense slows down enough for a cashed ticket.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Boston Bruins

Of the four games tonight, this game has had the most movement in the NHL odds. The Bruins started out at -210 to win and have been bet all the way up to -235 at this point. When it comes to betting the total (5), the OVER is at -115 and the UNDER is at +105.

We have posted two different opinions for the game, with Lawrence backing the UNDER 5 goals and David Schwab selecting a tight Boston victory.

Lawrence believes the moneyline odds are far too steep and briefly suggest a puck line play (+125) could have some value attached, given that the Bruins have won by two or more goals in each of their victories over Buffalo this season. Schwab, meanwhile, likes how the Sabres have been playing as of late and thinks they could keep this thing pretty close, before ultimately settling on a 3-2 win predictino in favor of the home team.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Calgary Flames

This morning we figured there could be some value available on the Flames at home here, and it appears as if Lawrence is in full agreement. He is recommending backing Calgary at +140 to send the Red Wings home with a loss.

So far this season, the Flames have already beaten Detroit twice. Lawrence and those putting their faith in Calgary will be hoping the Red Wings will fall short on the road again, where they've won only one time over their last four.

Like the Pittsburgh/Montreal matchup, the total here has been priced out at 5.5. More action is coming in on the UNDER, but that could change the nearer we get to the drop of the puck.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Anaheim Ducks

Finally we've got the Ducks at home to the Blue Jackets, with Anaheim staying right where they were earlier today at -155. The NHL odds for a Columbus victory are in the +140 to +145 range.

Lawrence has dedicated a full article to this battle on the ice and is again siding with the underdog price that comes attached with the Blue Jackets.

Columbus can still make some noise in hopes of advancing to a higher spot in the standings and they have been in excellent form, winning four straight games. They've scored at least three goals in each of the victories and the Blue Jackets will try to keep momentum high in Anaheim.
