The Wednesday card features just four games, which means we’ve got them all covered for you. There are individual previews for the Capitals-Flyers and Canadiens-Maple Leafs contests, as well as our daily trio of picks down below:

NHL Betting: Wednesday Picks

Record: 56-65 (-825)

Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers

Talk about an ugly game to handicap. The Philadelphia Flyers are still trash as they can’t even beat Toronto or Florida at home. Meanwhile, Washington is just one of the worst teams in the NHL and played last night at home. As for the total, who knows which Flyers team shows up: the one who can sometimes score or the one who plays half asleep?

The options here are either to take a shot with the Caps as a road dog or lay the puck line with the Flyers and pray. I’ll go with the latter, as dicey NHL pick as it is.

Nashville Predators at Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks return home on Wednesday where they have won six straight. The NHL odds makers have made them a sizable favorite for the contest but I’m not interested in laying that considering Nashville is more than capable of getting the win.

The over is what I’m looking at. Nashville has struggled to hit the under as they have allowed at least three goals in five of their last six contests. I see at least five goals in this game, so I’ll take a shot with the over.

Detroit Red Wings at Los Angeles Kings

Both teams are playing well on offense right now as the Los Angeles Kings have scored 23 goals over their last seven games while the Detroit Red Wings have scored 17 over their last four. Although the Kings goaltending and defense have been stellar of late, I think with a total of five Detroit can do just enough to help us at least get a push.
