The regular season is winding down and you can tell because there are some huge mismatches on the NHL odds. Some teams are still fighting while some have already packed it in.

On Tuesday, seven of the 10 games feature a favorite of -150 or more. Here’s our picks for the night:

Washington Capitals vs. St. Louis Blues
The Blues shipped away Jaroslav Halak at the trade deadline and acquired Ryan Miller to be the starter in his stead. For the first time since that trade, Halak will be back facing his former team, now as a member of the Capitals. Expect him to play inspired with a chip on his shoulder. As for Miller, he has allowed just two goals in his last two against Washington with a save percentage of .975 in that span. As for the Blues, they’ve scored two goals or fewer in eight of their last 10 games. I like the under in this one

Pick: Under 5.5 at 5Dimes

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers
Although I expect the Flyers to win this game, -170 is too much for me to lay with my NHL picks. Instead, I’m going to look to the under. Steve Mason is 5-1-0 in his last six against Florida while posting a tidy 1.48 GAA. As for the Panthers, Roberto Luongo is 3-1-0 with a 2.27 GAA in his last four outings against Philadelphia.

Seven of the last nine meetings between the teams have stayed under, so I’ll look for that trend to continue.

Pick: Under 5.5 at Bodog

Detroit Red Wings vs. Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres continue to get pounded as they’ve now lost three straight, seven of eight, and 14 of 16. The Red Wings absolutely own this series as they’ve won 22 of the last 25 meetings. The Sabres are injury-ravaged and have nothing to play for while the Red Wings are still trying to secure their playoff spot.

I won’t lay all of the juice but I will take a shot with the Red Wings on the puck line. Nine of the last 12 Sabres losses have been by more than a goal.

Pick: Red Wings -1.5 +150 at Bovada
