Toronto is on absolute fire right now and there’s no logical reason to bet against them. They’ve won six straight games and their offense is clicking as well as it has in a long time. The Leafs have scored four goals or more in five straight and tallied 25 goals in their last six. The Stars are coming off a 4-0 win but that was just their second win in their last 11 games. Given how these two teams are playing, the Leafs are the right choice for our NHL picks – especially since they’re a big dog.

St. Louis Blues vs. New York Rangers
On paper, the Blues are the better team and have been throughout most of the season. However, right now, the Rangers are head and shoulders the better team. They’ve won 11 of their last 16 games and have been one of the better teams in the NHL over the last month. Meanwhile, the Blues have lost four of six and are coming off one of their worst defeats of the year, a 7-1 drubbing in New Jersey.
That being the case, there’s no way I’m laying juice with the Blues on the road with my sports picks. With the Rangers being a home dog on the NHL odds and being the team that’s playing better, that’s the team I’ll ride with.
Pick: Rangers +108 at Pinnacle
The Kings have become quite a mess as they’ve now dropped three straight and 10 of their last 14. They can’t seem to do much right. On Thursday, they’re going to visit the Anaheim Ducks, that are fresh off an unexpected loss to the Winnipeg Jets. That was the Ducks first home loss in regulation and you can rest assured that they’ll be fired up to bounce back. I’ll take the Ducks on the puck line.
