We have studied the slate on the NHL odds boards and have come up with two value picks to help lead you to a winning and productive night.

Bruins at Senators

The Boston Bruins (19-6-3) will be on the road tonight when they take on the Ottawa Senators (16-8-6) at the Scotiabank Place in Ontario.

The visitors are favorites on NHL odds boards in this one, with most online sportsbooks posting a number of -150 on the money line. Boston is a prolific 23-5 in their last 28 meetings versus Ottawa.

The total on the game is coming in at 5 goals, with a lean on the over at -115, but three of the last four meetings between these teams have stayed under the number.

The Bruins are 11-5 in the last 16 overall and a perfect 4-0 in the last four games played on a Thursday, but they are just 1-4 in the last five games played on the road. Boston is under in three of their last four games played away from the TD Garden.

Meanwhile, the Senators are an impressive 6-1 in the last seven games played on their home ice, but that have had no success beating teams with a winning percentage above .600, going 0-4 in that situation. Ottawa is under in 15 of their last 26 games played at home.

The Pick

It’s tough to place our NHL picks against Ottawa at home where they have won 10 of 14, but for Boston has their number and tonight I expected the lopsided dominance to continue.

NHL Pick: Bruins -150

Flames at Predators

The Nashville Predators (11-13-6) will play host to the visiting Calgary Flames (11-12-4) when the two teams collide on the ice at the Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee.

The Predators are -145 money line favorites on the NHL odds boards, but the Flames have won six of the last eight meetings in Nashville and 12 of 17 overall.

The games total is set at 5 goals -120, but based on the recent history between the teams, the best value for our sports picks is on the under in this one. The final score in the last 11 meetings produced 7 games going under, 2 over and 2 coming in at a push.

The Flames are 4-1 in the last five games played against teams from the Central, but they are a dismal 16-35 in their last 51 games played on the road. Calgary has eclipsed the total in four of their last five games overall.

The Predators have produce 31 wins in their last 46 games played at home, but they are 0-4 in the last four games played against Western Conference adversaries. Nashville is 3-0-1 over in their last four games overall.

The Pick

The home team has won four straight in this series and after tonight that number should increase to five, as I expect Nashville to handle its business and come away with the win.

NHL Picks: Nashville -145
