Our NHL consultant provides us with his analysis on each of his two best money line selections for Sunday. The NHl picks come in the contests between Nashville/Pittsburgh and Minnesota/Vancouver.

Nashville Predators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins 2:05 PM ET
Pittsburgh has gone 3-0 versus Nashville since the beginning of last season, and outscored the Predators by a cumulative score of 10-2. Marc-Andre Fleury was in goal for all three of those wins while posting an excellent .968 save percentage. This will be Fleury’s tenth start versus a nonconference opponent this season, he’s gone 7-2 in the first nine, compiling a terrific .944 save percentage, and posted two shutouts. The Penguins are coming off a 2-1 overtime win at New Jersey in their previous game. They’ve gone 11-1 at home during the past two seasons following a one goal win on the road.

The Nashville Predators are a NHL odds best 19-3 against the money line at home this season. Unfortunately, they’ve been far less impressive on the road by going 12-14. As a matter of fact, the Predators enter today’s game having lost their last four on the road. Star goaltender Pekka Rinne continues to be sidelined with a lower body injury. As a result, they’ve had to rely on backup goalie Carter Hutton to assume a larger role. However, early returns show that Hutton isn’t close to being up to the challenge. In his last four starts he’s posted a dismal .867 save percentage. He’s also gone an awful 0-8 in his road starts this season with a below average .887 save percentage.

Minnesota Wild vs. Vancouver Canucks 3:35 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks are coming off a decisive 5-2 home win over the Buffalo Sabres in their previous game. The Minnesota Wild is coming off road wins of 2-1 at Edmonton, and 1-0 at Calgary on their previous two outings. These results set up a very profitable money line betting system that I’d be foolish to ignore when making my NHL picks for Sunday.

Any team (Vancouver) coming off a home win, versus an opponent coming off two straight one goal wins on the road, has seen that team go 29-5 (85.3%) against the money line during the past five seasons.

Free NHL Pick: Play on Vancouver -140 over Minnesota on the money line at Bookmaker.
