There are 10 games on the card on Sunday but make sure you get your action in early as four of the games will start before the usual 7:00 PM ET start time. Read on to find out the three picks we like the most.

St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars

The St. Louis Blues are coming off a confidence-boosting 6-5 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night and we’ll expect them to carry that momentum in Sunday’s contest in Dallas. The Stars have offered little resistance against the Blues in recent meetings as St. Louis has won six of the last seven meetings. They’ve won the last two by a combined score of 8-2.

The Blues have cruised inside their division this year as they’ve won 10 of 11 contests against Central Division foes. The Stars have lost 10 of 15 versus their divisional rivals.

The NHL odds are quite favorable on Sunday as the Blues are only a slight favorite. That’s because they’re in a back-to-back situation but given their successful history in this series, they are worth adding to your sports picks.

Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames

The Canucks have been excellent so far in the month of December and that’s been fueled by an excellent defense. Even though the team will be without starting goaltender Roberto Luongo on Sunday, backup Eddie Lack has been fantastic. He’s 6-2-0 with a 1.93 GAA this season. This month, he’s won all four of his outings while posting a .955 save percentage. The Canucks lead the NHL in goals allowed per game this month as they are giving up just 1.55. Meanwhile, Calgary is averaging the second-fewest goals per game this month with just 2.00. The Flames aren’t known for having good goaltending, Reto Barra has been reasonable of late, posting a 1.79 GAA over his last five outings. Take the under.

Although the Canucks are probably a reasonable investment for your sports picks on the side, I’ll take the under in this game instead. The under is 5-1 when the Canucks play on Sundays this season and has cashed in eight of their last nine games.

New York Islanders vs. Minnesota Wild

The Wild will be losing a pretty good offensive weapon and (likely) receiving the services of their star goaltender on Sunday, so that lends itself to an under play. The Wild put Zach Parise on IR and will be without him for the near future but should get back Josh Harding. If Harding is in fact in net, take the under with your NHL picks here.

On the year, Harding is 14-1-0 with a 1.30 GAA and .944 save percentage at home. That should lead us to an under.

Keep in mind that John Tavares missed Saturday’s game for the Islanders and is not likely to play on Sunday. With him and Parise out, it means two already weak offenses will be without their best offensive weapon. Take the under.

NHL Pick: Under 5 at 5Dimes
