It’s going to be an active Saturday night & there’s a lot to choose from for our NHL picks. We’ve rounded up our best three, and they’re all road favorites.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Odds: Red Wings -110
The Red Wings and Maple Leafs met earlier this week and the Leafs skated away with a 2-1 shootout win but this time, I expect the Red Wings to get the victory. Detroit has been one of the best teams in the NHL this season and they haven’t suffered many losses of late. Their goal scoring has improved by the month and they had been averaging over three goals per game before suffering that 2-1 loss, so that seems to have been an aberration. The Leafs are on a bit of a roll right now but beating the same team twice in the same week can be challenging. Take this into consideration when looking at the NHL odds. Look for the Red Wings to make their adjustments and to get their revenge here.

Minnesota Wild vs. Arizona Coyotes
Odds: Wild -140
Arizona has been mailing in their efforts recently, so Saturday looks like a good spot to go against them. They’ve now lost four straight games and 12 of their last 16. The concern is that they haven’t even looked competitive in recent games as they’ve allowed 19 goals in their last four games while scoring just five on their own. That’s bad. They’re at home in this one but that likely doesn’t mean much when you consider that the Coyotes rarely have a big home audience and the way they’re playing nowadays, nobody is going to show up.

The Wild have been alternating wins and losses for 10 straight games and are coming off a loss. If that trend continues, they should get the win on Saturday.

NHL Pick: Wild -140 at The Greek

New York Rangers vs. Vancouver Canucks
Odds: Canucks -125
The New York Rangers seem to have plenty of success against the Pennsylvania teams but not so much against everyone else. On the year, they’re 5-0-1 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers, which leaves then with just seven wins in their other 18 games. On Saturday, they’ll face a Canucks team that’s lost three straight.

The issue with the Canucks right now is that they simply ran out of gas at the end of their long road trip. It was a seven-gamer and after going 3-1 in their first four games, they lost the last three on the east coast in Canada. However, they’ve been off since Tuesday, so they’ve had ample time to get back home and get comfortable. That being the case, they’re worth adding to your NHL picks here. They’re 7-3-1 on their home ice this season while the Rangers have just three wins in nine road games. Vancouver should get back on track here.
